I'm very curious to hear about the UT/A&M game. With UT playing Colorado so close and upsetting Chapman, they sure appear to be getting hot with the playoffs just a few weeks away. A&M always seems to get up for the big games, so I'm guessing this one will come down to the final minutes.

it's pretty much a given that UT vs. A&M will be a good one. I think like 5 of the last 6 and 7 of the last 10 games have been decided by 1 goal....

I believe you mean Chico State, not Chapman.

SATURDAY APRIL 1st

North Texas vs. Baylor - UNT with a win by 8
Texas A&M vs. Texas - I think Texas should come out and control most of this game, but with this rivalry it really doesn't matter which team is better. Texas by 3

SUNDAY APRIL 2nd

Baylor vs. SMU - SMU by 4
Austin College vs. Oklahoma State - OSU by 6
Texas A&M vs. Texas State - A&M by 8

In fact, this weekend is the most critical one for Texas A&M with its games against the Longhorns and the Bobcats.

Missing several games...

Friday 3/31
Southwestern vs. Harding @ Harding

Saturday 4/1
Southwestern vs. St. Louis University @ Harding
SFA vs. UTA @ UTA
Austin College vs. Oklahoma @ Oklahoma

Sunday 4/2
SFA vs. TCU @TCU

I think Southwestern has a great chance to get two OOC wins.

Well Brent if you want to get technical only the TSU game is going to matter for A&M. While I agree that the UT-A&M game is still important for bragging rights, getting a feel for the other team and confidence that you can win against that team it won't matter for playoffs. Now at this point in time I don't see any of the LSA teams getting an at large bid so the AQ is probably all that is going to matter for us.

I figured I would throw these div. B games on the end of my post:

Friday 3/31

Southwestern vs. Harding - this should be a tough game for Southwestern but it would be nice to see them pull out a W against a good Harding team.

Saturday 4/1
Southwestern vs. St. Louis University - This should be a real good game to watch these to teams seemed to be equally matched (Div B #20 v #19) but I think Southwestern is going to pull out a win in a close one.
SFA vs. UTA - UTA is going to be to much for the Lumberjacks
Austin College vs. Oklahoma - Should be a good game but I think the sooners could get a W here.

Sunday 4/2
SFA vs. TCU - TCU should be able to get a W here.

Good luck to Southwestern on their OOC road trip.

Ok, Mark, I'm going to get technical on this one. He just wants to pad his posting numbers as he is now at #83.

Other than that, it is true that A&M knows that their game against TSU is important, but those Aggies, you know them, still would want to win their games for confidence purposes. It is the same for all of the teams, though, to boost their confidence. It is the jockeying for positions time now.

I agree... The UT/A&M game is usally the best one of the year. Since I have been in the LSA (mostly when the ags when on that 65 (?) game LSA win streak) most of the time A&M has been ranked higher, but UT has always made it a great game regardless of rankings. I few years there it was decided by one goal. Someone who was at this particular game might chime in, but I think I remember one where A&M scored the winning goal (in OT?) from a shot that deflected off a defensemen's leg into the goal. Regardless this game should be a good one if both teams come out to play.

this is coming from a guy who played in the A&M-tu series when t.u. won in overtime, A&M won in overtime, and A&M blew out t.u.

the rankings dont matter in this one. home field matters. desire matters. matchups matter. and, perhaps the biggest thing is leadership matters. the team that has the cool heads that wont make mistakes in the 4th quarter will win this game. the team that will play hard and clean until the whistle will win. the team that controls momentum will win. and, of course, the team that scores the most goals will win.

It may be either jessexy or Ali Savarian, but jessexy will chime in about that anyway. Hey, where is Ali? He is so quiet lately.....

I now remember that it may be tamu33.
jessexy is right with his post below (above mine) Mark's that the Ags/Horns game is a MAJOR game regardless of their position in LSA Div. A (North or South). I know uslmdia.org states the game is on Saturday, April 1, but I got an email yesterday that the game would be played Friday night at 7 pm. in Austin. Can anyone also chime in on that?
