also, grinderpete's and has-no-left's hs teams face off on friday. Oddly enough, the UHSLL's lax swami didn't pick a winner for that one. Is Alta not playing in border wars? Does anyone have a schedule for border wars?

A poster on Laxpower, Navlax76, who is a frequent poster on Whittier and knows what he is talking about, posted on that site that Colorado beat them straight up and Whittier needed a big rally in the second half to make the game close. He said that Colorado was the better team yesterday and Whittier played uninspired ball.
Good win for Colorado. Congrats.

That's a huge win. I don't think any USLIA team has beaten Whittier for at least 7 years. Congratulations to CU.

Actually it was the year after they went to the FF. BYU won 10-8 in 2004 I think after Whittier went to FF in 2003. The Poets were in the quarters in 2004.
