WOW...Dont really know if you are kidding or serious, Andy... Last time I checked, 20 Minute Running time halves did not count as full games. Please correct me if I am off base here

I've never seen purple underwear before, Calvin.

The Calvin and Ferris State games were played as regulation OOC games. The EuClaire and Northern Michigan games were played running time and we played as scrimmages. Since most of our starters played the ferris and Calvin game, our 3 and 4 lines played the NMU game and EUC games to get experience. Since these were scrimmages not played as regulation games I did not include them in our schedule (NMU we can't anyway), NMU is not even a USLIA sanctioned team. They should be, they are very talented.

Thanks, all I was looking for was admission that the loss to Northern Michigan happened and that they are a team to be respected. I have a sliver of heart for that team's founder and senior captain Sean Mandle, I coached him during high school and am very proud of the team he's built. It was definitely mixed feelings shaking his hand following our loss to them.

I thought I'd mention this because of a PM I received:

No disrespect intended here. It's just a line from "Back to the Future" that I thought of because it has "Calvin" in it. I figured if people can quote Happy Gilmore. . . .

What this boils down to is that nobody is disrespecting NMU. They are a talented team and very much improved since we saw them last at Hotdish two years ago. I have no doubt they will have a successful season. However, the fact remains that we went to Michigan caring about 2 games and 2 games alone and those were our OCC sanctioned games. I don't think that we need people calling for what is effectively an asterisk (*) on our record because we lost a 20 min running halves game against a non-sanctioned team after starting our 3s and 4s so they could get some PT. If anybody watches Knight School on ESPN you'll know that Bobby Knight's scholarship basketball players lost a scrimmage to the walk on group. Are we going to extend assumptions about Texas' team based on that? Now I'm not likening NMU to rec-center players nor am I likening UST to scholarship athletes but the point is that a scrimmage is just a scrimmage.
