What is the format for the SELC Championships in Atlanta?

How many A and B Division teams are invited? What is the tentative schedule for games?

Last year it was six Division A teams and four Division B teams. I assume it will be the same format this year: Two Div A quarterfinals on Friday night. Saturday will be two Division B semifinals during the afternoon with two Division A semifinals on Saturday night. Sunday will be three games: Division A Consolation Final, Division B championship, and Division A Championship.
This year's tournament will be held April 22 - 24 at Northview High School in North Fulton County. The high school is 4 years old and they installed new FieldTurf this past summer. Should be a great facility for the event.

I think A and B number's should be switched - the A conference had teams killed first round while the B conference had a team that beat the eventaul champs and did'nt even make the tourney(App state), which lost it's tourney bid to us(Elon)- both teams went somewhere around 10-2 which I belive should deserve some sort of a post season bid since you barely have to be over .500 to get an A conference bid - what I'm trying to say here is that while the A conference has better overall talent, the B conference is better in terms of competitiveness (is that a word?) than the A conference which only has a few legit contenders.

I have to agree App. state should have had a bid to Atlanta and so should have Elon. They really should have a 6 Team format for both A and B. But I believe that this all has to do with costs and to play in Div. B costs less then Div. A.

Fellas,
We went thru this all last year. It has nothing to do with cost and everything to do with competition, organization, & field space.
The Division B teams need to walk before they can run. We had a four team Division B event planned last Spring in Atlanta @ the SELC championships and one team didn't even show up! Some of the new SELC Division B teams last spring also had issues with uniform compliance, etc.
Getting to the postseason ain't just about competition on the field.
