A Teams

Now that teams are starting play some conf. games, i thought id get some discussion going on how teams seem to be shaping up. i haven't seen any of them play, im just doing this based on scores. this is just for fun, so no one take anything personally. its just to get some talk going for the hell of it.

1. Michigan - Still on top of the CCLA. Got off to a slow start, but seems to be hitting their stride. Survived a tough opening schedule going an impressive 2-1 against top 10 teams out west.

2. Oakland - May have taken a step back from last year. However no one below has been able to take advantage so far. 0-2 against the top 20. However, those are their only losses, with good wins over Indiana and Minnesota.

3. Michigan State - No bad losses, with all 4 coming against the top 25. However, needed to make a couple of those losses wins in order to take a step up in respectability. Did have a quality win over #25 UCLA.

4. Indiana - Solid start. Hard to judge. Only loss came vs Oakland, and none of their wins are over anyone of note except for Auburn. Be interesting to see how this squad fares in the second half of the season. I felt they were underrated last year, with a few close losses to top 25 teams. If it can turn those into wins this year may be the surprise team of the year.

5. Pittsburgh - Seems to have taken a step back from last year. Got crushed by Florida St, and suffered a bad loss to NC State. Only significant win over Miami.

6. Miami (OH) - Seems to be the same level as Pittsburgh. Struggled on its trip southeast, and suffered a close loss to Pitt. No significant wins.

7. Central - Started the season off promising, but has gone on a 3 game skid.

8. Eastern - Eastern is obviously not getting off to the start they would have liked under their new head coach. Although they will undoubtedly get better with each game.

(in no particular order) Ball St., Buffalo, West Virginia, Western, Purdue
-with none of the above playing more then 2 games yet, its too hard to judge. Time will tell how these teams shake out, once they play a few more games. I suspect western will have a decent year, and West Virginia shouldbe taking a step forward in thier second year withthe CCLA.
