One of the perks of going to an engineering school is we have access to a lot of labs and materials. We've been making our own goals since our club was created. Because we can't leave them laying around, we came up with a collapsible design that works very well.

It's essentially four pieces, fits in a cavalier easily and sets up in about 5 mins. Anyway, we've been thinking about selling them for a couple years now. We haven't set a price yet, but it would be cheaper than a collegiate goal and you wouldn't have to pay shipping if you pick up from Rolla or St. Louis.

They are great quality. All the welding would be done by our goalie who just returned from tours of duty in afghanistan and iraq as a welder. However, he is graduating after this semester, so I would need to know fairly soon if you are interested.

Are the completely legal goals (i.e. no braces in the corners)?

This is one f our crappier goals that we use for practice, but it's the same design, just a little older.

yes they are completely legal. We matched the steel tubing size to regulations and we use 6-8 inch male/female connections for each joint. If you have anoy other questions, let me know.

I do like the design for attaching the nets! Saves a lot of time wrapping twine, and you don't have tight corners where it's sometimes hard to tell if the ball went in the net on a rebound.
Reminds me of a funny story from our club team years ago. One of our defenseman's dad owned a metal tubing company, and he offered to have them make nice lightweight aluminum practice goals. (You bet!)
Went to pick them up, and they had welded two triangles together - one going back on the ground and the other as the goal!
We had to laugh, but they ended up trashing a lot of expensive aluminum tube.

The UWEC mens team would be very interested if you guys could set a price for them.
