PNCLL Weekly Poll Question (Week #4 2/22-2/28)

Last season, not one team in the PNCLL went undefeated against the rest of the league. Oregon got upset by Simon Fraser, and Montana lost to Gonzaga.

Three teams were also winless (not including forfeits) in PNCLL games. One of those teams, Albertson, just recorded its first PNCLL win -- and in the Yotes first game of the '06 season.

Will the league have one or more undefeated teams in PNCLL games this time around? How about a winless team?

Ouch! This poll has the potential to be harsh for Idaho, Willamette and L&C.

I don't see anyone beating Oregon this year in the PNCLL. . .sure, SFU will provide the biggest obstacle, but Oregon is knocking on the door of the "elite" in the USLIA, and I don't see them getting upset this season.

Montana also has a very good chance to run the table in the PNCLL. WWU looks very good right now, and PLU gives everyone a good game in Tacoma. . .but I really don't see the Grizzlies falling to anyone this season in the PNCLL - their toughest game this season will likely be at the hands of UVSC, the #2 team in the B division. Montana State and Gonzaga will also give the Grizz some good competition.

I won't comment on the potential of teams going winless this year in the PNCLL. I hope that every team in the league finds a way to win at least one game, as the Yotes did over the weekend.

Oops

Well it sure was NOT my intent to be brutal towards any team with this question... and in truth I was sort of out of ideas. I would GLADLY welcome any suggestions -- publicly or by p.m. -- for next week's poll question. It's tough coming up with this stuff every week!

I apologize to anybody who takes offense at the question and felt I was poking fun.

There was a small ouch, but it wouldn't be there if there wasn't truth to it. Our 22-0 pasting by WWU didn't look as bad after they shut down that powerful offense from Linfield as well, so we will see. Personally I think our streak (losing that is) will end this year undoubtedly, but that is my very biased opinion.

No way in hell Willamette goes the entire season without a win. I'll hack into the computer and make up a winning score from a non-existent game if I have to. Watch out Albertson and Boise State, we're coming after you this weekend!

Wow...I'm a little out of the loop these days if Lewis & Clark is in a position not to win a game in a season. In past years L&C has been pretty solid.

I certainly hope that all 3 teams have some wins this season. The league would appear to outsiders to be in dire straights if there is even 1 team that goes winless. Not a good thing for teams hoping to get an at-large bid (especially the B-division).

Good luck to these 3 teams...

Brian Miller...good to see you are still involved with lacrosse in the NW.

Yeah, and I didn't have to hack into any computers or anything like that to make it happen. I'm just glad I don't have to eat my words.
