Chico

I checked out Chico's schedule and it looks like they also play Utah and Texas State that same weekend that they play Chapman. Any predictions on those games?? Thats a tough trip for them. It will be interesting to see how they do.

As poorly as we did this weekend against Chico, it was not a true testament of our skill. Just to let you know, Texas State went into the game without a single back up D-pole (unless you include people that didn't play D-pole until that game), and our back up goalie (though he did perform well). We had around half our team playing, and a good half of our starters missing (our entire defense in that game weren't starters). Not using it as an excuse, Chico is definitely a more talented team, but that was not a true showing for us. Don't get me wrong though, I am still glad I made that 28 hour van ride there, and I learned from the games that we played. Even though we lost all three, it gave people who normally don't play as much more field experience and helped expose our teams weakness. All and all, I hope everyone continues to underestimate us and if we get to Nationals this year I am sure that we will surprise many teams.
