Will SCAD get in the win column against Emory and Alabama this coming week? I hope so for their sake.

I'm thinking they will against Alabama at least....the Tide's got a long drive. Emory is still a bit of a mystery in the Division B. I'd think the established Division B teams have a better than average chance against them. I'd imagine them and SCAD to be pretty evenly matched though...

Auburn looks like they'll have their hands full this weekend...good luck to them as they take on some out of conference powers.

Savannah (SCAD) and Tuscaloosa (Alabama) are about the same distance from Atlanta. Roughly 3 hours. (SCAD will play Alabama on Saturday afternoon at Emory in ATL.)

How about that Georgia Tech vs. Tennessee game. For some reason, that game hasn't really been talked about. I think that will be one of the most telling games of the upcoming season. My prediction: Georgia Tech by 4.

I'm surprised there's no GT/UT score posted here yet...
Anyone have any information?
Never mind - Sonny officiated it, so I'm sure we'll get a score soon.

Instant classic from chilly Atlanta:
Georgia Tech 8, Tennessee 7 (3 OT's)
Relatively slow start. No scoring at all in the 2nd quarter. Game was tied 2 - 2 at the half. The Jackets opened things up in the third quarter and held a 6 - 3 lead going into the final quarter. But it wouldn't hold up. Larry Tilley had four goals in the 2nd quarter to lead the Vols back. The Vols took a 7 - 6 lead midway thru the 4th and it almost held up. Tech got a late goal to force OT.
Both teams had multiple chances in each OT period. The Vols killed off a 30 second man-down in the 2nd OT. Tech finally pushed a goal across late in the third overtime period.
Great game both ways between two old time SELC rivals. I think there were only 6 - 7 penalties called all night long (total). Good lively crowd to boot. The Vols head up the road to take on Georgia in Athens tomorrow afternoon. It's supposed to be sunny and 60+ degrees.

THANKS SONNY!
Sounds like a great game.
Congrats to Coach Lovic on successfully beginning life without a certain midfielder....

Just making bad connections, but if UT lost to Georgia and lost to Georgia Tech by 1 in 3 overtimes, how good is Ga tech?
South Carolina at Davidson
