Which "A" team will have the most surprising season (in a positive aspect) this year?

I'll throw UCONN out there. Seems like there is always quite a bit of high school talent out there in CT, so maybe some of these guys will help UCONN make a run this year.
As I do every year, I predict UNH will take the league.

I got to say URI. Seems like they had a lot of young guys last year and made a nice run in the end. I was suprised to see them so low in the Preseason Poll. I would have thought them to be up in the 4th or 5th spot.

CGAlax. I was just wondering where you saw the preseasoning rankings for the PCLL

It would be interesting to see how everybody has the league lined up this year.

I'm going with BU. Coach Remsen has had some time to settle in now, and I think they have some decent talent ready to step up as well. The lack of big opponents will hurt them in rankings, but I think they will make the playoffs and maybe advance a round.

I have to agree with you. They were a young team that seemed to really improve at the end of the season. I was surprised that a team that made it to the semi's and didn't really lose much to graduation was ranked so low.

I think that URI played hard last year and if they were a young team then they will be looking good this year. I also think that Stonehill could be a competitor this year. They gave Northeastern a tough game last year but I don't know who Stonehill graduated.

I also do not understand why people are voting for BC as a "surprising" team this year unless they are going to be surprisingly bad. They are in the top 3 teams for the PCLL every year so if they are there again this year it will not be a surprise.

I don't know the exact number, but I believe Stonehill graduated like 2/3 of their team.

The biggest loss you're going to notice from Stonehill is the loss of Brooks, their goalie. I think he was first or second all league for at least 3 years. Great goalie that kept stonehill in a lot of games. I do believe they also lost a lot of their leadrership and have a very young team. No idea how good their new comers are though.

I guess that explains why they have no votes for the most surprising team then.

Stonehill

We lost 15 Seniors (2 1st team all league, 1 2nd team, 4 honorable mention) and we never have big numbers so it definitely hurt. We have a big (for Stonehill's standards) freshman class and promising group of committed guys so don't count us out just yet.
