Is it true that out of their top 5 scorers last year UVSC only has James Simmons back? What about the all conference LSM from last year? Or did they not start their whole team against BYU?

Tommy their LSM graduated. Chris Warner moved on down the road to BYU. Dave Prescott graduated I think. But they did pick up Walker. Their first 2 scrimmages are tougher than any games they will play in the B division, so I will take a wait and see approach.
Cool

Granted it was a major league David vs. Goliath game here but UVSC did NOT look good.
BYU looked ok but will have to play better in their next scrimmage before heading out on the road to open the regular season. BYU's defense and goal looks very strong. The middies and attack looked ok but there was a lot of execution mistakes. I think they'll get the kinks out before heading to California.
I wish I could be at that game in santa barbara!

I was at the game vs. BYU. UVSC always knows that the game isn't going to be close as BYU gets to practice indoors all winter long.
UVSC lost a very solid defensive crew and goalie from the 2005 second place team, but bring in some experienced players and a solid freshman goalie on the defensive side of the ball.
They get back a TON of fire power at the mid-field position, and moved some experienced mid-fielders from last year to attack. They just need a couple weeks to mesh and watch out.
They also return Coach Perkins who has the guys very focused.
Good team. Should be fun to follow.
