Kudos to Mosher

I feel that something has been lost in the fold. Brian Mosher, the new GRLC commissioner should be commended for his first few acts as commissioner. First, the moving of the GRLC tournament from K-State to the new MLL stadium in suburban Chicago was a great move. Not only will it provide a better lacrosse atmosphere for the conference as a whole but it will also help the new Machine franchise get the word out. Secondly, Mosher's handling of the "Lindenwood debacle" in a timely fashion demonstrates to rest of the USLIA as a whole that the GRLC is not a "Mickey Mouse" operation run by officers with their own individual agendas. Commissioner Mosher will bring stability and respect to a conference that is still looking to achieve that on the national stage. Mizzou, Illinois, and Lindenwood all have excellent schedules set-up for this season which could end-up being the one that truly puts the GRLC on the map. The second tier teams in the conference (Illinois St., Missouri St., and Wash. U.) will continue to make the conference more competitive each year. It's also only a matter of time before programs like Kansas, K-State, and Iowa capitalize on the growth of high school lacrosse in this area of the country. Thanks Commissioner Mosher for pointing this conference in the right direction. Heres to a great 2006 season!
