Lacrosse Leagues in the Dallas Area
I was hoping anyone could give me some suggestions of places to play competitive lacrosse in the greater Dallas area. I'm going to be taking a job in Frisco in February and would like to continue to play in a new part of the country. I'd like to get into a competitive collegiate/post collegiate league or even a mens club team. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And please take it easy on a northern boy if I get the chance to play against any of you. Ha ha ha. Thanks again for any help you can provide.

There is also a club team in Southlake, which is south of Frisco, called the Cobras. Cecil Noble is the guy to get a hold of for that team.

There are four teams in the Dallas area that compete against each other and teams from Austin, San Antonio and Houston. Occasionally, they will also play one of the local college teams in the off season.
The four teams in the Dallas area are Dallas, Big D, Southlake and Coppell. If you're in Frisco, Dallas and Big D would probably be your best bets. However, Southlake and Coppell probably need more players than the two Dallas teams. If you contact Tom Fitzsimmons (USLacrosse-North Texas President), he can probably give you all the contact names and phone numbers.
Best of luck and welcome to town! There are also several high school teams in the area that could certainly use your help as a head or assistant coach if interested.

Hope you will consider officiating in Texas Jared.
Many of the post-collegiate club players also officiate. There is a critical need for additional youth & H.S. officials to help support the growth of the game across the country. Time commitments vary based on your work/personal schedule (and it takes less time away from your personal life to officate versus coaching). You get paid to stay in touch with the game and you get a little bit of low impact aerobic exercise to boot. We need more of the MDIA players to filter into the officiating ranks when their college playing days come to a close.
Feel free to PM me if you want any additional information.

Hey guys, thanks for all your help. I'm glad to see all the lacrosse interest in the Dallas area. I'm also glad to know my stick won't just be collecting dust in the corner anymore. Hopefully I can find my way onto one of those teams and get back into shape. Thanks again for all the suggestions, it's been very helpful. See you on the playing field.
