Georgia Lacrosse Officiating

The Georgia Lacrosse Officials Association (GLOA) is recruiting youth and high school officials for the upcoming season.

A few former SELC players have filtered into the officiating ranks in the past few years. But we need a few more guys as there are several new teams for 2006. There are around 45 boys high school (varsity & club) teams in North Georgia now. If you are a former player, it's a great way to stay in touch with the game after college with minimal time commitments.

Benefits of Officiating Lacrosse
    Great low impact exercise.
Time commitment is as much (or as little) as you want.
    Earn some extra money.
Opportunity to contribute to the athletic growth of Georgia’s youth.

There will be an introductory session on Sunday evening, Jan. 22nd at the Westminster School in Atlanta at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be primarily administrative in nature and we will collect dues, enrollment forms, review the training requirements, and have a Q/A session.

Information/directions are available on GALAXREF.com. Click on the TRAINING page for complete info.

Let me know if you have any questions. I hope to see you on the 22nd!

To those SELC teams that have/maintain a SELC alumni email list (or web page), please do me a favor and distribute this information to them.

I know many SELC alums end up in Atlanta and I'd like to see this information get to as many people as possible.

Thank you.

Thanks for those new guys who came out for last Saturday's officials training.

There is still time to help out this year if you want to learn how to become an official. There are plenty of high school (Varsity and JV), high school club, and youth games to go around all over the city!
