I have no problem with Lindenwood's appeal and the board taking another vote on the issue, but I do think that this makes our conference as a whole look like we're unorganized and running around like a bunch of chickens with our heads cut off. A decision of this magnitude will be discussed for a while and in the future we should probably look at the issue more closely and openly the first time so the GRLC isn't put in this situation again. I mean no disrespect to the GRLC, I'm just speaking as a member of it myself, and of how I would view our conference as an outsider as well.
Congratulations and good luck to Lindenwood this season!

Actually, as a true outsider I applaud the GRLC for having the gumption to recognize the unjustness of the initial sanctions and reverse the decision. I don't know anyone on here that would disagree with this move.
Kudos to the conference for Making the Right Call.

The question I have is this:
Will Lindenwood play with a chip on their shoulders this season and destroy everyone, or will this whole ordeal distract them from returning to nationals?

I dont think they will play with a chip on their shoulder. They understand what they need to do in order to return to nationals. Troy is too good of a coach to let them do something stupid. I know that they feel extremely relieved after all of this. Can't wait to see them on the field this spring.

I agree, there's no way they will play with a chip on their shoulder. This doesn't mean that they still won't destroy some teams, but Corbin is right, with Troy leading them, he won't let them get out of line!

so what happened to the decision at the conference in october (to outline steps to ensure the "level playingfield" that was discussed at such length)? is everything out the window now?

With Lindenwood not being on any probation at all, I would assume that yes those steps have been done away with.
