Everyone knows that there are three favorites in the RMLC div B, UVSC, Ft. Lewis, and UNC.
So here is the question....which team could be the darkhorse this season?

A dark horse for a National Standpoint, Western Washington University. With new coaching, and a ton of incoming talent, I really wish they were travelling. Outside of the PNCLL, I don't know, but Western will be tough.

if anyone saw hot Montana st. played against Utah in the fall, i wouldn't call them a dark horse, i would put them in the category of legitimate contender.

I saw Montana first hand at the Gem State Tourney this past fall...and they looked good. They've got another good attackman to go along with "The Old Man," and their midfield didn't look that bad either. I don't know if U of U brought all of their starters, but MSU took them into overtime and probably should have one it. They'll be one to watch this year for sure...but I heard a rumor that Silvestri will only be playing in their home games...

I agree that Ft. Lewis, UVSC, and UNC are usually the favorites, but both Ft. Lewis and UVSC have lost their leading scorers if I'm not mistaken. UNC is one that I don't really know much about this year. Montana St. is definetely improving and I hope the rumors aren't true about Silvestri only playing at their home games cause he is a fun guy to play against. I guess it's all speculation until we start playing some games. See you RMLC guys soon.

Joe is pretty old though......but I will tell you what, he puts more english on the ball when he shoots then anyone else in the league.

I have never heard of UNC being a favorite, but, I know that Ft. Lewis only lost Tyler Bue, yes a huge loss, but if you recall, they have scorers like Tyler Poussen who led the league in points. They always bring out a solid squad every year and I expect them to be the favorite to go all the way this year as well. UVSC lost Lehrky, the RMLC defensive player of the year, and it is questionable if Dave Preston (1st team attack) will play either, not to mention they got a new coach. It could be a scramble/re-building year for UVSC, but then, again it is just TALK. When the whistle blows we will find out. Montana State is legit. There was talk of U of U not having all their starters there at the Boise tournament in the fall, that's wrong. They were all there. Montana St. is Impressive. It should be a fun year for the RMLC. Boise is really looking good, this could be the year they take Ft. and UVSC.

I really do think that Montana could show some teams up this year.......and I know we are looking forward to playing them again. Not only are they a good team, they are fun to play and have really good sportsmanship.
But I think you will all be surprised by us this year, (mines), our program is back together, and we got some really good freshman. Our top All American canidate, Scott Symanzski, is healthy again, and we have a solid coach in Dan Hunter, so I think we will be surprising some people after being the RMLC doormat last year.

Hey Mace, how about another poll question. Or do I need to ask NonPoint for one of those?

It's a rumor. I ran into Joe last week at the bar and he said he'd be traveling with the team this season. We also got a new attack from VA that's pretty good.
I won't be playing this year. Just got back from an MRI and I have a herniated L5 disk that I played with last season so that's why I sucked in the goal.
