LAXTOBERFEST
Is anyone attending tomorrow's tourney at UC Irvine? Haven't seen anything about this preseason series of games.

It was a misty start to the tournament this morning with the teams taking to the field promptly at nine. Things were in full gear on all four fields when we arrived.
Here are some preliminary scores for the first six match-ups:
USD 5 UC Davis 1
Chapman 9 LMU 3
OCJC 10 Biola 7
UC Santa Cruz 5 Cal Lutheran 1
UCLA 4 UC Irvine 0
UCSB 7 UCSD 3
USD looks to be fielding another good team this year. They were playing pretty solidly against Davis.
UCSD came out firing, scoring the first goal in their match against UCSB. The Gauchos promptly answered back with a goal of their own. It was a hard-hitting game with both teams going at it with full intensity. IMO the Gauchos still got it.
Unfortunately that's all I have to report. Hope someone else can fill in the scores for the rest of the tournaments. Thanks to UCI for hosting the event.

For us at USD:
vs. UC Davis 5-1
vs. UCLA 7-2
vs. LMU 4-3 (very close game)
a few side notes, it looked like every team was playing hard but the room for improvement with every program is incredibly evident. I don't think any team was content with their own play, I feel like every team really expected a lot more of themselves. Well, to finish off our fall ball we have San Diego State and UCSD next weekend in the Norm Webb tourney followed up with Chapman on November 5th. Good luck to everyone on the rest of their fall ball.

Were y'all using the new rules? So far it seems that most teams give the face-off whistle rule a thumbs up, but are lukewarm about the others.
What were folks opinions on those?
