Lacrosse is a year-round club sport at Auburn with teams for both men and women.
Though a year-long sport, its official season begins in the spring. For the fall semester, the men’s team usually practices three times a week.
“During the fall, we hold a lighter practice schedule and play a few games during what we call ‘fall ball,’” sophomore lacrosse player Ben Calvert said. “This year we are practicing Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and we are playing Emory, Georgia Tech and (against former Auburn lacrosse players) in our annual alumni game.”
During the spring, the men’s team practices about five to six times a week.
“Our official season takes place during the spring, where we play about seven Southeastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC) games and three or four out-of-conference games,” Calvert said.
