Some interesting notes from the BYU website...

"For many good reasons we will limit our team roster to 40 players again this year. We anticipate 65-70 players to tryout for the team this fall..." I would imagine this will be the largest turnout BYU has ever had for the team.

Good news on the goalie front...
"BYU sophomore goalie Chris Powers has decided to continue his collegiate career at Brigham Young University. After much speculation that the RMLC Honorable Mention keeper would be transferring to a Divison I program after interest was expressed by UMass and UNC, Powers will remain a Cougar. "

But will they let him play more than half a game at a time?

Maybe not my place to tell, but spoke with Tyler Monteath at the Breckenridge tourney and he is going somewhere in Montana to play football. He is a good player, that being the first real time I got to see him in person.
Always on point . . .

With Powers, Mckecknie (sp?), and Kikomoto (sp?)... It must be tough on the Cougars to have so many quality starting goalies on their roster. It will be interesting to see how long Powers stays or puts up with the rotation.

Tyler and I went to the same high school (albeit about 10 years apart), and this isn't a huge surprise. He was an excellent football player on a team that won consecutive state championships.

I think Tyler could play football somewhere, kid has some sick cuts. However he was practicing with the team this week.
