George Mason University - Fairfax, VA

I was looking at their team website and this was stated on the recruitment page:

"The George Mason team is a very competitive team that is looking for new players all the time. We practice 4 to 5 days a week and play about 6 games in the Fall and 16-20 in the Spring. We are in the NCLL but looking to join the USLIA next year. If you have any more questions please direct them to Joe or Brian on the contact page."

I feel that GMU would have a VERY strong talent pool to pull from. Does anyone have any information? Are they a prospective member of the SELC? Here's the web address for more information:

we used to play against them in the ncll. I believe they used to have kids from the korean national team on their team.

I am just curious as to if there is any validity to the statement about them attempting to join the USLIA next year. I ran a camp at GMU this summer and they have top notch intramural/club facilities, field house, lighted Nexturf fields, etc... In addition, the school is located admidst the thriving lacrosse community in Northern VA.

It would be a nice school to have in the league. A nice location between the CCLA and SELC. Send them an email and get them active

Yes, this will be our third season using the new logo. Are you familiar with our team?

I don't know if KnoxVegas is, but I am. I went to South Lakes, Class of '91. We started the team up several years earlier. I haven't had a chance to see the team in many years (even though I now live in Charlottesville.) Hopefully I get a chance soon. Are you the coach? Send me a little info, I would love to know how the team is doing.

Has anyone in the SELC heard anything out of GMU lately? I think they've officially fallen in disrepair as a club team in the NCLL. That happens sometimes.
