Who to look out for next season
This post may seem early but I'm wondering who everyone thinks will be good next year. WHo has lost alot, and who has alot of talent coming their way.

teams or individual players? I'd have to say Lindenwood will be the team to beat next year. They had a very good, young squad last year, and will probably get a new crop of solid freshmen and transfers. I assume Mizzou, Wash U., and Illinois will all be very solid again, and I'm looking at SMS (or MSU) as my dark horse to make a run at the upper echelon teams. But, there is a lot of time until spring, so I would say anything can happen by then. A lot of freshmen play fall ball, then never are never heard from again for whatever reason.
As for individual players, I'd say Combs from Lindenwood and Mark Wolf from Mizzou will be players to watch. Most of the players I was most familiar with graduated this past year, so I'm not much help. I didn't get to nearly as many games as I would have liked to, so I didn't see a lot of the teams in the GRLC play, so I won't even try to comment on them.
I'm just glad to see a new post on the GRLC page, as it gets pretty sparse this time of year.

I guess I could comment on our teams status thus far. We are probably going to be underrated because we have lost some great players that had alot to do with our great season last year. But we have alot of very skilled players coming back to play, and we have picked up some really good players that had to sit the season out because of sceduling problems. One scheduling problem was being in Iraq which didn't allow for him to play this last season. Others had other major obligations that have now taken the back seat to lacrosse. We also are bringing back our great face-off man that had did not attent school last year but has come back and is already ready to rock. We did not loose a single middies which as we all know is very important. Our goalie Justin Lamberson was only a freshman last year and was tremendous for us we are very excited to that he will make the difference for us in alot of games while he is in the net. we lost alot on attack and defence but with our guys that ahve come back to play and a few new guys that will hopefully make an impact right away will make us just as good or better then last season.
Creighton....a very very good team that from what I understand is only loosing one player from their squad. I believe Phil Snow is the player they are loosing which put out the most for his team, but they have another great attackman Conor Mullaney.
This is all I have heard threw the grape vine about anybody so far. I'll keep posting if I hear any other news. Let us know guys A and B Divisions.

Just what Lindenwood needs another D1 transfer
Freshour, Austin
Clinton Township MI
De la Salle/Butler
Midfield
Although he didnt play this year because he had already left school due to a coaching change, I'm sure Freshour will free up Combs for more opportunities to pass or score.

I think the new edition of Memphis will open some eyes. Even though it is their first year, I know they have a transfer from Chico State(WCLL) and Auburn with some already skilled guys on the team. I don't think they will win it all or anything, but I do think people will be surprised...

I am interested to see how the big three from last year in the GRLC B division, Creighton, Harding and Western Illinois, come out this year. It seems like none of these teams are losing a large number of starters, but just a few players in key positions. At Western we only are losing 2 starters and that is all. I believe it is about the same for the the other 2 schools mentioned above, please correct me if i am wrong. Also i love to see how wide spread the talent from the GRLC was last year. With the above teams mentioned battleing it out from Nebraska, Arkansas, and Illinois. It's nice to see the game growing in different parts of the Midwest.

Also i believe some of the up and coming teams that could pose a threat this year in the B diviosn are RHIT, Nebraska (I'm not sure if they are eligble for playoffs or not), and South Dakota. All of these teams showed some talent last year and also a strong determination to win. They could all be contenders next year. Also Dordt is always a wild card. I understand their values i just hope that they can get a goalie that can play on sundays next year. They had an up and coming offence and the zone defence was working for them last year. The B division should be very competitive and interesting this year.

Harding graduated around 6 or 7, 4 were starters, they did gain the ultimate intangible with a great new head coach with tons of experience.

i will give you the report on harding...being as corbin is gone he was only able to clue you in to what we have lost. we did lose three first team all-confrence players, including offensive player of the year john tomasonni. as well as a second team all-confrence long pole. but we still have 4 all confrence players a solid core group, and a few new guys that have looked amazing in our scrimages so far this season. we have an official coach that knows the game and what we have to do on the field (something we have lacked in the past years).
so all in all...we lost some very good players. some maybe irreplacable...but i think that this team as a whole will be better then last years team. i hope that makes for so awesome lacrosse.
