I hate to break this to you but everyone from duluth and minnesota aren't the best players in the league they are just on successful programs. There are alot of All-Star Calibur players who did not make the all confrence team. All I am saying is how about some balance. We all know that all confrence in this league isn't always a true assessment of the talent, and that some people are left off who deserve to be on the team. You need a better representation of the legue otherwise it makes it look like minnesota and duluth are the only ones in the league with any talent and how does that look for schools trying to recruit the highschool kids watching?
Also what about people who were All stars for there team do they not deserve a chance to play?
11 Minnesota players 13 duluth players who else is going to see the feild?

The NFL Pro Bowl always has more players from the superbowl teams then all others.
No we aren't the NFL, but I applaud Eugene and whomever else helped him pull this game together. From what I see, there is a representative from each squad.
Nobody could ever pick an "all star" team without missing somebody. As was said, request the missed player be a substitute and request that you assist with next years all star game. I am certain they would take the help.

If there are players who were not on the all conference team, please send me a private message and I will make sure that if there are those who are unable to attend, I will have them on the team. Also, I know for a fact that Josh Rissman will not be able to play, so we need at least one defensemen.

Just noticed the poll question at the top - kind of poorly worded for a yes/no response! As an outsider (but with ancient roots in Gopher state lacrosse) I think you should have gone for a little broader representation. It does seem like a bit of a rematch of a pairing that is played twice a year already. It would be nice to have representation form many different schools, even some of the newer ones. After all, it's just a game for fun, with hopefully a party wrapped around it. Even in the NFL they require that a member be included from each team I believe, so even a Detroit Lion gets in.
Just my unwelcome two cents.

I think people need to stop whining about how its not the way they wanted it. Eugene didn't have to do this, he volunteered. Oh, and there is a player from each team, maybe you should have looked at the list even, before you complained.
The deal is, its an all-star game, you want that to represent the best players in the league no matter what jersey they wear. It just so happens that good teams have good players, weird huh?

All I want to know is who put that poll up?
How can you even answer that question?

the rosters seems fair, I don't know how St Johns Duluth and UWSP got on the same team however, but none the less, it is not a rematch, but an all star as has been said. I thought that the moorhgead guy was pretty good when we played him, maybe you should all play summer and show people up if you feel you were "snubbed". I know a few more gophers that could have made the team, Haugen and Albersman to name 2...1 being Eugene's linemate with me for crying out loud!

For the last time, if someone else wants to make a list thats better or one that they want to use, they can go ahead and do so. People got snubbed, including on my team and although unfortunate, there is nothing that can be done. Also, make sure that if you can't make it, please let me know.

having witnessed last year's allstar game...this year's will be a great step forward from that. lets let this year's game play out and then offer constructive feedback. great things don't appear from thin air, they take time.

I Do not feel snubbed I dont feel bitter becuase i didnt make it, becuase i sat out 2/3 of the season with a broken collarbone I wouldnt deserve to play in this game. I just wish the league was better represented in this all star game this is my last post and you can bash me as much as you want, and I do feel there is alot of talent in the league that isn't on Minnesota or duluth. So do they have alot of talent? yes of course. It is alot easier to see talent on a successful program then one that isnt so good. Alot of players in the league would be great on minnesota and duluth but look average on other teams because they dont have the surrounding players. Does this mean they aren't all stars? no they are prospective all stars on there team and what they do for there team and the all star game is a way to honor them.
Dimage thanks for calling me out but I was a senior.

Zev, I will be there, and everyone, fleck said it beautifully, good teams, have good player. So can we all stop complaining, and to me the people who are whining are people who aren't playing or are from teams that were in the bottom half of the conference. Oh one last thing, johnny do you have to whine about everything?

I think it would be great if after the all-star game we had a cage match between kyle klossner and john Erickson. That would settle this once and for all. And it would be very funny.
