Without seeing the game or the official box score, there were two things that stood out to me while reading Sonny's blog...
All year BYU had done very well in two aspects of the game - faceoffs and their ride. Without going back and reading Sonny's commentary, it seems like FSU sure won a lot of faceoffs. And there was very little mention of any forced turnovers.
If you look back at the season, BYU had several games that were 1-2 games at the half that they found a way to win (A&M, Michigan, CU twice, CSU, Cal Poly). To FSU's credit, they never folded. They had a couple strong attackman and rode them to the win.
Don't know anything about the Oregon game other than OU scored more goals than BYU.
