Division A run around

Is it just me or is it kind of funny that ISU plays Wash U at Wash U, and the time gets changed to suit 2 division B teams, so now everyone in the B game and Wash U is happy and ISU gets the shaft. I realize that ISU is closer then both division B teams, but Div. A should take presedent over Div. B. So now rather then having the B teams play at 4:30, the A teams have to play at 4:30. So now that this is convenient for everyone except for the ISU face-off middie, long stick, and 2 starting middies everyone is happy, right? All because they couldn't get out of class, what do you think we due all day, play in the sun, we have to go to class too. So how about this since we switched the time why dont we switch the location too, if Wash U can play at 4:30 why don't you meet us at ISU. Can't get out of Class, Can You!

That is just luck as Wash U and Lindenwood were selected as the host sites for playoffs at the fall meeting and the seeds determined where they played so just luck that they will be at Wash U. If you don't like where the tournament is located, take this up with whoever is in charge for your team and present something at the next fall meeting.

Now that we have that out of the way, lets add a few more points that my friend might have missed. If my memory serves me correctly at least one representitive from all of the DIVISION A teams are on here checking the posts on a regular schedual. But what is really odd about all of this is that NEITHER any member from WASH U or one of the DIVISION B teams bother to write anything about this change on the message boards? To anyone else in the GRLC or in the whole MDIA does this seem a little fishy to you. This also comes one week after ISU played WASH U AT WASH U and lost in overtime by one. Three consecutive weeks for ISU in St. Louis and now this crap. Just seems a little too much like it is falling all into place for some other teams. What do you think. CSU UCSB all of those teams in other conferences would never reschedual a DIVISION A GAME for a DIVISION B GAME. How do we expect to get any recognition from any conference when ours cant even get its stuff together.

What do you think RHIT and Creighton do all day? They are missing classes all day on Friday to make the tournament.

Now the moderator in me just wants to point out to stop the "name calling" or "making fun of posts" and stick to the topic at hand. I know we can all be rational about this and say what we want in nicer ways.

Did you grow up going through illinois schools? well just incase some people dont know. Our high schools its not what you know its who you know. I went to one of the top three high schools in the nation and didnt do shit and still got good grades. So if you got a problem with somethin why dont you come out and say it mr Douglas? cause I see nothing wrong with anything said. We may not have the money for U of I or the brains but we arent a female cleaning solution.

Nope your wrong, Mizzou is not aloud on the boards and I know for a FACT that Coach Hawkins doesn't check them

I'm sorry the message boards is not for distributing information to teams. Sonny will even state that the boards are run independently from the MDIA. Obviously it looks like you got your information and I'm guessing it was from an email. Don't complain about not getting any information from the boards.

I'm sorry, is that in their job description? Is it in mine?

1) The scheduling of the other games is some of your own fault, you do your own scheduling at the fall meeting so take that up with your team president or coach.
2) Like I stated previously, if you can think of a better location/idea for playoffs, make a presentation at the next fall meeting rather then sit and complain about, make something happen.
3) Funny you say CSU wouldn't do any type of rescheduling, read Flip's latest journal (
linked right here) to read that they might be moving their Friday game up to 4:30 due to weather.
Flip wrote:"They" are already talking about moving our Friday night game to some time earlier and less convenient Friday afternoon. Our players (and coaches) must not only prepare to play the game, but also to be a "band on the run". Haven’t we done this before? Thank God for the cell phone, I guess.

may as well add on here, everyone else is...no one is saying that everyone else doesnt have the same problem with getting out of class, however, the playoff schedule was set a while ago(im assuming at the fall conference) and it was decided that the teams would play then, to come out on tuesday or wed. and call us and change that (pretty ridiculous), im sure South Dakota and Dordt (sorry not sure how far you have to go) are having hte same problem, but no one is apparently asking SMS and Mizzou to change.....why should we face the problem of missing class and Creighton not, and if they are missing class all day anyways then whats the problem with them playing at 430...finally shouldnt the commisioner be the one to call us and inform us...not our opposing coach whose field we are playing at...it seems that this was handled very unprofessionaly and as my teammate said, how can we be taken seriously as a conference (see everyone in the country disregarding Lindenwood after a good season) when we dont have our stuff together internally....finally the crack about not getting into u of i....some of us may have (or did) and chose not too...did u?

Hate to be Sonny
Last time I will say this, everyone needs to cut the name calling and other crap. Just stick to constructive "criticism/arguing" about making solutions. I have no problem with people venting anger or mad about a situation but rather then making dumb posts, think of a better way to express it on the boards.

South Dakota and Dordt have about a 9 hour drive.
we are leaving tonight and missing class tomorrow.
i know someone posted in another thread about trying to get our game pushed back to the later game. I was told that lindenwood didnt want to switch the A and B games so we are playing at 5:30.

so lindenwood got to choose not to switch the A and B games and they are not even playing in either game, but a team playing in one of the other games doesn't get any say? im sorry but that just doesnt make any sense

John Bifulco is the Vice Commisioner and as part of his duties is to set up the Div B Crossover and the set up and administrational running of the GRLC Conference Tournament. You were informed by the correct man.

fair enough but shouldnt the conflict of interest, especially after our close game just two weeks ago mean something...i understand that he is probably a stand up guy who wouldnt pull something like that, but just to prove that its all legit (which it isnt see other posts) shouldnt he remove himself to make it impartial...his team definately benefits from this move
