That was a pretty money article on UNH. I know it reflected my feelings on the matter for 3 years.
As far as who will take the league...the Sox broke the curse this year...look out for UNH.

Excellent article on UNH, Dave. Though I don't see where UNH ever stopped getting the love. They've always been considered one of (if not the) top team in the PCLL, and I don't see that changing. In fact, in the past 3-4 years, UNH has always been considered number one in public opinion. It only seems this year that BC has gotten considerably more press.

I think the reason BC's gotten the love is from making it to the USLIA tournament and generating press that way. It's a matter of exposure, and that exposure cannot come without getting out there to St. Louis, Blaine, Texas, California, what have you. At any rate, no one has ever questioned the potency of UNH, as evidenced by UNH's regular season dominance over BC every year of the Eagles' PCLL membership.

Disappointing to see my boys drop one to NE, though I hope it will serve as a wake-up call for the warriors in maroon and gold. Looks to be an incredibly exciting tournament.

Glad you liked it. I wanted to cover a game for each of the potential PCLL Top 25 programs and UNH was the last to do. Unfortunately, the game I choose to attend was a blowout, so I reshaped the article into more of a spotlight piece knowing full well that UNH really does believe they are overlooked here in New England and around the country. I only wish I could ammend the article to include more about Northeastern's rise in the PCLL as a legitimate playoff contender.

I would like to personally thank Coach Fawcett for answering my questions. He is the real story in my opinion, a rookie coach who brings a football mentality with him to coach our sport, a huge supporter and believer in Wildcats lax, and a really nice guy. He has had a successful season so far and I hope he stays around for a while.

This is exactly my point. I know UNH feels slighted, but having witnessed other teams preparing and reacting to them for years, I cannot understand how they always feel underestimated. They are a deadly program and take winning very seriously. But nationally, it is going to Blaine and playing the big programs that get you the rankings.

As for BC's loss to NE, this might be the moment they all rally around. The point where everyone refocuses and they head into playoffs guns blazing. A loss is good for a team every now and then. BC's schedule was a little soft at the end of the year and this shake up may wake up any complacent players. I am really, really excited for playoffs. I don't see any clear winner this year and I love that.
