Gang members threaten Parker's boys lacrosse team

Members of the Francis Parker High boys lacrosse team said yesterday they were forced to flee their practice Monday when a group of gang members made threatening gestures – one with a screwdriver – and refused to leave the field at the Linda Vista Recreation Center.

Dan Kuiper, the school's athletic director, said three 911 calls to police went unanswered before the team hastily departed on its bus.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to teach the fine art of the slap check. I would love to come down and personally help instruct.

<<Kuiper said this wasn't the team's first brush with trouble. He said other lacrosse practices – and even games – have been disrupted by gang members walking on the field. >>

"It wasn't healthy for anybody," he said. "We don't want someone trying to put screwdrivers in someone's stomach. Life's too short for that."

i will never complain about the practice conditions at my school ever again.

What color are Parker's uni's?
