From the battle for Northwest Iowa in Sioux Center:

Dordt: 13
NW: 0

classic matchup that gets closer (despite the score) each game. NW has a new keeper, Tony Rodriguez, that kept us to one goal after the 1st. he had some impressive saves and it looks like NW has two good goalies now. Also impressive was #10 on D, a good first year player who gave me a nice little bruise. a good game as far as technicality and skill of play, but a lot of penalties called on NW and a few late in the game on Dordt.
Dordt had several multi-goal scorers and went close to 100% on face-offs thanks to Brad Kuiper and our LSM Ross Van Der Bill. Thanks to NW for coming to our place and good luck to them at the crossover.

Box score to come later... maybe.

LU 0 3 1 3 - 7
WU 2 1 1 1 - 5

Great game that went back and forth the whole way. WU ran out of gas and LU was able to possess much of the 4th quarter and put their shots away.

Pretty chippy play by both sides...reminded me of the old WU-Mizzou games from a couple years ago...expcept this time we didnt have Tex to score 3 goals in under a minute for the win.

Congrats to Troy and his boys on a perfect season.

Sprout:

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate that. It was great to be back at WU and playing on Francis Field; something I never thought I'd see.

WU is a good team and very well coached. They are, by far, the best defense we've faced all season. Hats off to Coach Bifulco and Coach Schickedanz; very well done.

Good luck as you close the season. We'll look for you in the playoffs.
