Trojanlaxman5,

Yes, that would be my "little" brother. I use the term little loosely because he's a 6' 5" 210lb animal (I'm barely clinging onto the big brother mental advantage).
I wish he could have gotten into USC, but this year's admitted class was about a 4.1 GPA and 1400 SAT, I don't even think I would get in anymore. It would have been nice to have him on my alma mater's team, but he'll do good things at Santa Clara and he's excited to go there.
BTW, I hung out with your son Scott after our game, he's a good guy. I only wish I could have played against him (missed my last game due to a torn hamstring).
See you on the Santa Clara sidelines next year cheering on our respective family members and the rest of the Broncos.

I wondered about that. I was there for the game and didn't see you out on the field. That's a tough way to end your career.

Found this listed in the Boys National Senior Showcase article:
M Charley Henneghan Beverly Hills, CA/Brother Rice San Diego
If he's from Brother Rice in Michigan, then they've got a darned good middie coming in.

Yes, he was LCC's top offensive midfielder. His choice of Chapman surprised me. I was hearing he was being recruited by a few D-I teams like Notre Dame and UNC.
Very hard outside shot, strong on both hands, and has some nice dodges. He'll very likely start or at least get some Man-up time.
Nick Knodle isn't that bad either. Big strong kid who's good on faceoffs, finishing from the crease, and has a nice lefty drive. He's also played every position on the field from attack to goalie.

I checked the laxpower recruits list this morning, and saw that Charley Henneghan from Brother Rice is not going to USD, but to Penn State. That's definitely unfortunate for USD.
I hope the Toreros can bring in a strong recruiting class. They have some rather large holes to fill. They lose an all-American attack (Ladt), an all-American goalie (Robinson), and an all-WCLL attack (Cardoza) to graduation. Of those players, finding a replacement for Ladt will probably be the toughest. I saw him play at the WCLL Championship game in Moraga this year, and he was, in my opinion, the most talented player on the field.
