Who do you think is Offensive MVP and All Conference?

Just wanted to get a feel on who people believe to be the Offensive and Defensive MVP's and also who should make the All-Conference team. (division B)

Of course I'm biased towars my own team. However Cory Noseworthy for Liberty has 40 G and 24 A through our first 7 games. He is a great player who just finds a way to score- Double and triple teamed.

Davidson players Garen Reidel and Jamie Butler have alsos had great years.

For goalies, Seth Jones at SCAD and Ben Ralston at Davidson get my votes. Although if Chad Gurney from Liberty was still able to play, he'd be in the mix to.

Don't forget about Geoff Fehling of Davidson for Defensive MVP. He's a lock down defender that not many attackmen want to see covering them.

#6 from Liberty is one of the best players I have seen. I think he is too good not to get selected.

if you add up what liberty says they've scored its 106 goals...but if you add up the goals by the official game reports its 93....whats the deal with that? and the Dman #5 from davidson should make the all-conf. team along with our goalie aaron berger. and most our our Offense...they may not all have 20+ goals but every starter has atleast 9 goals and have scored atleast 14 goals every game

I'll have to agree. Noseworthy is the best attackman this year. He reminds me a lot of Nic China from Wake Forest and Tolson last year for Southern Virginia. Scad's d line is pretty incredible so I think they should have at least 1 spot on the defensive end and don't count on #22 for Southern Virginia. I believe he has half his teams points this season. Thats not a lot of support and he has been doing it at the midfield.

ok, gotta show some love to fellow defensemen who have impressed me this season. SCAD's defense was solid but #22 played especially well and was the best cover guy ive seen us play against in the b-division. App State's LSM #16 was great too. there were a few from other teams who stood out to me but i can't remember their numbers. from davidson, i'd like to reiterate how well our goalie ben ralston has been playing all season. garen and jamie have certainly put up big numbers, but ben has singlehandedly kept us in a lot of games.

as far as "most" of the app state attack making the all-conference team id have to disagree judging from the limited time i saw them play. in my opinion, having an all conference team is designed to highlight those individuals who did have 20+ goal seasons (like #22 from SVU who has half his team's points). i agree that your offensive guys did run well together but i dont think most of them should make the team.

if corey is similar to nic china, i look forward to the possibility of matching up against liberty in atlanta. :)

Do any of yall think that any players from the lower ranking teams like Winthrop or Western will make All-Conference?

#6 from liberty is amazing, i checked him and he is no doubt the toughest offensive player i've seen all season, but our attackman, John metcalfe (#29) should get almost as much attention. He put up 38 goals in 8 games (since alabama robbed us of a ninth game by not showing up) and almost single handedly kept us in a couple games this season.

hopefully i didn't need to post anything thought, since 4.75 goals per game should make him a shoe-in for first team all-selc B.

No, that should speak for itself.

P.S. This weekend against Citadel, 3 goals but I think 5 or 6 assists. I told him he should shoot more, but he said he wanted to work on passing to open players. He almost hit a behnd the back shot from in front of the goal (7 yards out). Rang the left post. Was so close, but an awesome shot. He fed a crease guy behind the back earlier. Our big star was #9, Isaac Gilwit, think he ended up with 6 goals. 3 assists. We had a balanced offense, which is really starting to come around. Just in time too, cause the teams in Atlanta are goingto be tough.

I heard that Cory Noseworthy is headed to Syracuse as a transfer this fall. After much deliberation, a conference call with Paul and Gary Gait, the Powells and Jim Brown ultimately swayed him. After hearing that he hit the pipe on a 7-yard shot, these legends knew what they had to do: plead with him to come and dust off #22. Best of luck to Cory, and my condolences to coach Kendall on the loss of a true role model in Cory Noseworthy.
