USC @ UCSB has been postponed.

Well, the opening weekend for MCLA ball in the L.A. area kind of fizzled, with the USC-Santa Barbara game being postponed and something similar, I assume, happening to the Pepperdine-Channel Islands game. The game appeared on both teams’ schedules but now doesn’t. Oh, well.

But Saturday wasn’t a complete washout.

Thoughts? Predictions?

Going to be some great games this weekend. I think the big games are going to be pretty close. Cal / Oregon / Chapman / ASU / Arizona are all top level teams.

Grand Canyon appears to be pretty good and with Cal Poly's youth could be interesting but Poly still has a very good team, so I expect the should be able to get a W. Excited for lax!

Perhaps also a Berkeley bias? Don't get me wrong. Cal is good and has some really, really talented players. I could easily see them going 2-0, but ASU will be a tough game and no doubt in the minds of everyone an upset. You going to be at that game?

No. Not a fan of the Los Angeles area. I try to avoid it at all costs.
