New RMLC D1 Team?
While perusing all the nooks and crannys of http://www.rmlax.com I saw that an established MCLA D1 team wants to join the conference. Is there any truth to this?

The better solution for the RMLC might be to have Arizona State and Arizona join the RMLC together. Then you would have 6 D1 teams and 3 pairs of travel partners for the RMLC and it might relieve some of the WCLL travel pressures.

Very interesting request...wow
The Arizona/ASU idea is a new one, but kinda makes sense.

That would make 7 D1 teams, Sonny. Utah State is a D1 program that is 'forced' to play D2.

it would be great to have another legitimately good d1 program in the rmlc, but the arizona schools would make a lot more sense. most the rmlc (d1) play (or is it plays?) them every year anyways.

No word since the team's coach has been let go.
Was it truly his team's idea as he stated to the RMLC executive board?
If so, you'd think there'd be some contact, but there hasn't been.

By the way, great work on the site, Dave. I think it is a stellar model of how a league website should be. It has everything that you could need, from scores, to meeting minutes, to the actual bylaws of the league so teams can see what is expected of them.

Don't think that Oregon going to the RMLC would make much sense, but really wouldn't be that hard on them, would suck for the other 4 schools there, assuming that stays the same. Oregon would just have to fly out once a year to play either both CO or UT schools, while the other two would make the trip out there. If Wyoming and NM were added it would get really screwy. Don't think it would be that great of an idea, but whatever works. The idea of the two AZ schools going into the RMLC makes a ton more sense. Gives the RMLC their 6 for an AQ and cuts down on the travel of the 20+ team WCLL. RMLC would definitely get the nod in the stronger overall conference if that were to happen. Crazy stuff.

Agreed. Getting to Eugene is no fun task. 2 hour flight to Portland + 2 hour drive to Eugene. I would much prefer the thought of U of A/ASU coming to the MCLA, but that would be tough on them. They would have to make a Utah trip or a Colorado trip once a year, but they both pretty much do that anyway.
Always on point . . .

where are you guys finding this? We talked about it at practice once in the fall I think..... I'd prefer 20 hours of traveling to play BYU and Utah over 20 hours of traveling to play Gonzaga and Idaho.
