So I saw on laxpower that Duke-Rosatti of Judge and Holt of Highland will be repping utah this year. I know about Rosatti, but I have not heard of holt. What does everyone know?

Holt is a middie from Highland High. He's athletic, fairly good size, nice rip from his right hand, but can also finish with his left. Reminds me of the Grow brothers, but needs some more pollish to reach that level. Not sure where he is planning ongoing next year but he could definately help a few teams in the MCLA.

Holt is a class act too! He never has a bad thing to say about anyone and keeps quiet when the refs start calling poor calls.

I talked to Holt today and he said he is waiting to see if someone will recruit him at the showcase. If not he wants to go somewhere local.

Did his brother play at Air Force?

Yes, he is LDS.
No. Andrew Olsen, who graduated from high school in 2002 played for Air Force. His younger brother Eric, who graduated in 2004 also played for Air Force. Their youngest brother Alex, is a sophomore at Highland and plays defense.

I was thinking of Robbie Holt, who played at Air Force around 2000. Do the Olsen boys still all get the same haircut?

Yes, all the Olsens have the same buzz cut. The youngest one talks, plays, walks just like the other ones. Holt isn't a thug. Highland hasn't had any problems since a certain player got kicked out of the league. He was a terrible influence.

One of the great benefits of being a member of the UHSLL is that we are the only HS league in the country (that I know of) that pays the full expenses of our representatives to the NSS and Team USA tournaments.
I am very happy that Michael Holt was selected to the NSS roster in that he has been an exemplary player on a team that has had some issues including a mandated forfeit. Michael is interested in both Utah and BYU - if he is willing to make some personal sacrifices, I know where he will be this Fall.
Matthew Duke-Rosati is the best d-pole in the league this year. Remarkably, he has turned down a 3/4 scholarship at Div. 1 Sacred Heart and his current plan is to pay non-resident tuition to play at the University of Arizona. This is a young man who knows what he wants - I commend him for it.

it took the ULA long enough. that coach is ridiculous too. it all stems from him.

Was the league mandated forfiet a result of them waiting in the parking lot after the Woods Cross game?

No, the player who got kicked out of the league played in the Skyline game after he was "kicked out." The league hadn't officially kicked him out yet, so the team thought they could let him play until an official decision had been made, but the league said he was kicked out of that game so they made Highland forfeit.

I agree Holt is a class act my Defense loved him. It was the coach and a certain few others that made that team so hated and penalized. Holt is a very good player but I was surprised he beat Bonneville's Mckade Garrett out of that position Garrett is the best midfielder in northern Utah if not the state, I have played with the kids since I graduated. that kid is amazing.
