So on westsidelax's site, it said #2 Bonneville's only loss was controversial. It was 4-5 to Judge, which when you look at the rest of each team's schedule, it does seem odd. So what happened? And what about the rest of the league? Alta and jordan both looked good when I saw them play, but they have both had thier ups and downs. What is the deal?

This year is a round Robin of W/L Oddity's, I think many teams are using to much "strategery".
SV and Logan Lose to Fremont, but both beat MC who beats Fremont.
Woods X only beating Clear field by one.
Logan beats Weber but loses to Viewmont by 11. Weber beats Viewmont.
Weber over Oly but Oly Over Judge Weber Loses to Judge.
I am LOST this year,
Mostly I just want to see three certain teams in the playoffs again, so that history may be redeemed.

TOP SECRET!! Don't share this URL with any player in the UHSLL! Top 4 in each Division make it.
The Bracket!
I guess it's safe to say Sky View is North#1, huh - nice job JRA.

I will keep it on the DL. How were the match ups determined?

UHSLL Coaches Council decision - this will be on a constant 4 year rotation starting this year.

thank you, we have had a good season, we hope to finish out strong.
Were the brackets decided before the season began?

I believe so - Dan Mortimer knows more about the specifics if you want the details.

I would like to see some interstate games between Utah and Colorado. I don't think Utah will get credit until they start becoming more of a regional force.

Here's the scoop on the controversial Judge/Bonneville 5 - 4 OT game. Judge was down 4 - 1 with 6 minutes left in the game and fought back to tie it, sending them to overtime. Bonneville scored the sudden death game winner early in OT, stormed the field, all that jazz. Immediately after the goal was scored, Judge head coach Dave Allen (love this guy) calls a stick check on the guy that scored... turns out that it was totally illegal. So Judge goes man up and scores to win it.
Not long after the game, Coach Allen starts thinking about why in his 14 years of coaching HS ball, he hadn't seen this happen before. So he looked into the rule book.
According to the National Federation of State High-School Associations (NFSHSA) 2008 rule book, the request for crosse inspection should not have been granted (Rule 4- Play of the Game, 4.32 Situation, pg, 50). An exact quote of the rule reads-
"SUDDEN-VICTORY OVERTIME PLAY
4.32 Situation: Team A scores the game-winning goal in sudden victory. The head coach of Team B requests an equipment check after the the sudden-victory goal has been scored to determine the legality of the crosse. RULING: The game is over. No inspection is permitted."
Coach Allen informed the league that the game should go to Bonneville, but the commish ruled that the result cannot be changed. So Judge gets the win with an asterisk.
So it sounds like a good strategy for overtime games is to give a super illegal stick to the biggest guy on the team and have him plow through the defense and deposit the game winner, right?
Other than this little nugget of information, I am completely out of touch with the UHSLL.

this was a question that I had posed to Sonny once. Gotta hand it to Coach Allen, he is the most honest man in lacrosse.

And a good coach as well. Gonzaga and Utah can attest to the quality of player he produces(he is actually the father of Stuart Allen, a Zag attackman)
