I just received this e-mail from the NSU Campus Rec Director:
Team Coaches, Captains, and Fans:
I regret to inform you that Nicholls State University club lacrosse will not
compete in the playoffs. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Michael Matherne, M.Ed.
Director of Campus Recreation
Nicholls State University
So all Trinity and St. Ed's have to is finish the season and they qualify for the playoffs regardless of record. This is easily the most wheels off season in LSA history.
Perhaps someone with Nichols can elaborate (Tarzan?).

It ceased being an inter-squad or inter-conference issue when he addressed the e-mail as such. Besides, the main issue resulting from this development is that the two remaining teams in the LSA B Division South get a free walk into the playoffs.

I found out about it the today as well. I have not been coaching the team since the NSU vs. U of H game. This was due to Coach Wickwire and myself not seeing eye to eye on a number of things. Gary, PM me if you want more info.

I also apologize for missing those posts. I have been away and thought this issue was over when I asked Gary to PM me and keep it off the boards.
