New Hampshire at Boston College is shaping up to be a big game. Lots of press at BC about it, and I've heard there may be an Alumni event either before or after the game which would attract a lot of attention.

As far as I know, there is an alumni game going on before the BC v UNH game. Most of those guys would probably stay for the BC game, and there should be a whole bunch of students coming out for BC's last home game. Assuming it's nice out, there should be a pretty solid crowd there...

In their second game in a 2 day span, Stonehill lost 11-10 to UNH in OT. Stonehill was down by 2 with :39 left and tied the game with :05 left. In sudden death overtime, UNH scored off a feed from behind the cage to a player cutting through the middle to beat Stonehill's goalie and take the W. Great game.

Maybe now is a better time to ask this question... Can anybody knock off BC?

Saturday's BC-UNH game will tell us a lot about the relative strengths of the top teams in the league. Face is at 4:30 in BC's Alumni Stadium if any PCLL fans are planning on making it out.

What went on there? Was UNH missing some players or did Stonehill just come to play?

Well, take my opinion for what it's worth. I felt that Stonehill played a really good game. Their offense did well against UNH's pressure defense, and their defense was very patient against their slow-down offense. The score stayed relatively close throughout the game due to great goalie play from Stonehill's Rob Edwards, UNH hitting a few pipes, and because Stonehill was able to capitalize on some transition breaks. And late in the game, they were finally able to start winning some faceoffs which helped them come back from a 3 goal deficit and force OT.

Comparing UNH's season stats to the game stats, it looks like all their top offensive players were at the game.
