Biggest game of the week is Santa Clara v. Cal Poly with the winner going to the playoffs against Sonoma and the loser's season is over.

Also, AZ v. ASU. Winner stays home and gets UCSB in 1st round. Loser goes on the road and takes on Chapman.

I hate to challenge you, but your above analysis is not exactly correct.

You are right about Poly and SCU. However, if UCSD beats USD, SDSU is the #2 seed in the South.

Yes, SDSU has the tiebreaker edge over AZ in a head to head. Also, LMU still still has a mathematical chance to get the #2 seed over UCSB with a win over them by more than 4 goals.

Stanford vs California at Cal 7:00pm: Go Bears!

Santa Clara vs Cal Poly at CPSLO 1:00pm: I haven't seen SCU this year, but I have seen some of the talent on Cal Poly. They have been there before, so I think they can do it.

LMU vs UCSB at Santa Barbara 1:00pm: Even though they have lost 4 of their last 5 games, the Gauchos have looked like they have hit their end of the season stride. And it is on the Pit.

UCLA vs USC at USC 7:00pm: Rivalry game. This is a bragging rights game. I'm predicting UCLA finishing the season with a big win.

UC San Diego vs San Diego at San Diego 7:00pm: SDSU's last chance. After playing SDSU to a one goal game, this could be a very close game. I'm going with UCSD

Chapman vs Whittier College at Whittier 7:00pm: I always pick the MCLA team over the NCAA team. But this is only a scrimmage, so it won't count when Chapman wins.

Arizona vs ASU at ASU 7:00pm: Shouldn't be close, but you never know in these rivalry games.

I know you were being a bit sarcastic, and I agree that is wild when NCAA teams claim that a game does not count, but unlike most other Varsity teams that play MCLA teams, Whittier always has these games as "official" games on the schedule. Their MCLA games even count on Laxpower. Last year it was a great one goal game, and we are really looking forward to this year's match up. I think it is "Senior Night" for them.

Stanford vs California --- This is a tough week with a bunch of rivalry games scheduled, which can go either way. I'm giving the axe to stanford.

Loyola Marymount vs UC Santa Barbara --- Mathematically, LMU needs to win by 4 goals to make it to the playoffs, a feat accomplished by only one team this year against UCSB. I don't see that happening again. I like the Gauchos at the Pit.

UCLA vs USC --- This is a classic cross town rivalry game that UCLA has dominated in the past years with the Bruins having a 9-2 overall record against the trojans since they reinstated their program back in 1995. This is USC's year for sure. Should be a easy win for the trojans.

UC San Diego vs San Diego --- If UCSD can keep up the same intensity as they did against SDSU, this could be a close game. However with a 0-3 division record and no chance whatsoever at playoffs, I question the Tritons motivation and ability to maintain a high level of intensity for the entire length of the game, which is what it will take for them to win against USD. I understand its a cross-town game with pride on the line, so i suppose anything can happen. USD wins anyways.

San Diego State vs Claremont --- SDSU is 4-0 in day games this year, however their performance against the Cougars wont have any implications on their playoff future. The Aztecs are also 0-4 against teams currently ranked in the top 25. Despite this, I'm liking SDSU in this one.

California vs Sonoma --- May be a closer game than most will expect. I assume 'noma will rest their starters after a certain point and may experiment with different offsensive/defensive sets in preparation for the playoffs.

Arizona vs Arizona State --- ASU finishes 4-0 in the South Division with the greatest of ease. A rematch with the Gauchos at home in Tempe is looming on the horizon.
