For those of you traveling on Friday, please allow plenty of travel time to Atlanta. It can take an extra 60 - 90 minutes to get to this traffic congested part of North Atlanta once you get to Atlanta.
PLAN ACCORDINGLY!

Is there a historical reason why the SELC Finals are a week ahead of everyone else? Just curious. Also curious what the SELC coaches think of the gap between the league finals and the MCLA tournament. I know as a coach I didn't even really like having a week off befor the tourney, but two would seem excruciatingly long.

Just realized it's actually two weekends before most of the league finals, and a three week wait before the MCLA tournament.

we put it to vote this year at the fall meeting about moving the tournament back a week and it was voted down. It would have fallen right in the middle of most schools finals so a majority wanted to keep it where it was to avoid this problem.
I am sure it is a tough road for SELC coaches keeping their guys fresh with a 3 week wait. We shall see....
