It just dawned on me...is this the first time since the poll's origin that a LSa team has not been ranked?

Ever since TAMU lost that hack player who used to take out Long Islanders' knees, things have gone down hill.

Attention A&M guys, before you jump Gregg, his statement reflects an inside joke with PigPen.

You know, coach, when I wrote that, I never stopped to think that it might be taken seriously. Thanks for backing me up there.

It was those kids from Ossining that were taking out people's knees. Anyway that reminds of some funny stories, but I won't bore the LSA with those..but I will ask this-does anyone remember that old thread on the old site with the ball in that got stuck in the muffler? I wish we had access to that thread, that was a hoot. If the LSU guy who started it is reading-how did you ever get that ball out?

Whoa, easy on the Ossining boys. You've hit a personal nerve ending. Am I being baited? We might not have had all the talent in the world, but we would bring it. Ask Tony, he remembers the Headless Horsemen v/s the Indians battles, and how our two schools hated each other. Many fond memories where we left it all on the field, not to mention body parts.

Mike-Dan Morris is from Ossining. No offense meant towards you, although I hear Michigan has a Suffern kid on their team, I don't like him already
No really, those Section 1 rivalries are pretty intense. Tony had called me about some of the Houston Tourney stuff this past fall-I took the call waiting to cross the Tappan zee, in all places, Elmsford. Ironic isn't it.

If you are from the east side of the river, and you are playing west of the Tappan Zee, you'll NEVER get a call from the refs.
Played my first lax game ever at Suffern. We got smoked.

Suffern always has big boys with skills. I remember the long bus rides home, licking our wounds and wondering how long it would take to get back to normal. Add in Nanuet and the Clarkstowns to Suffern also. Picture big healthy farmer boys with skills.

They were our rivals, and I never beat them as a player or a coach, came close a couple of times, but no victories. Farmer boys? Maybe that's why they called us the "river rats". Bad blood there.

This thread should be renamed "What Hood (or for you old farts in this thread, region, territory, etc) do I claim in New York State."
Hahahah

I sure enjoy reading about us transplanted New Yorkers talk about our days. I know PigPen and Mike Ormsby are from Section I, and I am from Section V. I do not remember exactly where tamu33 is from what part of New York unless my memory is failing me.
I am surprised that jessexy has not jumped in yet because he will want us to steer back to Texas, not New York.
In LSA, we have several head coaches from New York: Tony Scaz, Karl Lynch, Mike Ormsby. I know that John Campbell is from Maryland, yet he moved to Texas.
