Scenarios

#1 SMU 6-0

If NT beats Tech, NT is #2 and Baylor is #3

If Tech Beats NT, we have three way tie for #2 and #3 with all teams at 4-2.

Divisional Goal differential (+8 is the largest margin you can get)

Tech - assuming an 8 goal victory over NT = +18
-2 SMU, -1 BU, +8 OSU, +4 TCU, +1 OU, +8 NT

NT - assuming an 8 goal loss to Tech = +15
-2 SMU, +1 BU, +8 OSU, +8 TCU, +8 OU, -8 Tech

BU - +13
-2 SMU, -1 NT, +1 Tech, +8 OSU, +1 TCU, +6 OU

So in a strange twist of fate, Baylor will be cheering for North Texas to beat Tech.

Could someone explain what the tech win over unt means for the LSA playoffs? I just did the math and could have made a mistake but it looks like Baylor and Tech are tied in terms of a goal differential.

Goal differential

NT
-2 SMU, +8 OSU, +8 TCU, +8 OU, -4 Tech, +1 BU = +19

Tech
-3 SMU, +8 OSU, +4 TCU, +1 OU, +4 NT, -1 BU, = +13

BU
-2 SMU, +8 OSU, +1 TCU, +6 OU, +1 Tech, -1 NT = +13

Seeds would be:
#1 SMU
#2 NT
#3 ???

Not sure of the next tiebreaker either, do you go back to head to head or do you move onto the next tiebreaker.

We had a three way tie for the North. Are normal tie breaker system would be head to head, however, in this case, everyone had a victory over the other. Note (Baylor over Tech, Tech over NT, NT over Baylor)

That being said we move on to goal differential, which places North Texas in the playoffs as the #2 seed with a +19. That left Baylor and Tech, which starts the process again, Baylor having the head to head victory over Tech, placing Baylor as the #3 seed.

Tech's leadership had contact me last night to inform me about the goal differential tie with Baylor. After consulting a few people, we informed Tech's leadership of the ruling.

Baylor vs. North Texas on April 26th, Time and Site to TBA in DFW, but will have actual info by this afternoon.

Tech - assuming an 8 goal victory over NT = +13
-3 SMU, -1 BU, +8 OSU, +4 TCU, +1 OU, +4 NT

NT - assuming an 8 goal loss to Tech = +19
-2 SMU, +1 BU, +8 OSU, +8 TCU, +8 OU, -4 Tech

BU +13
-2 SMU, -1 NT, +1 Tech, +8 OSU, +1 TCU, +6 OU

Below was what Jason Zantjer said this morning (Check the bold about the date of the game between Baylor and UNT):

A press release should be out tomorrow on www.lonestaralliance.org and hopefully on this site as well with all of the Division I playoff information, sites, times, etc. Maybe our moderator could start a thread, and make it a sticky, and title it, LSA Playoffs???

I can tell you neutral sites have been secured for both the North and South quarterfinals for April 26th!
