UCSB vs Florida State at Florida St 7:00pm: With three WCLL teams headed out to Florida this week, this game will be the best game. FSU is at the top of their league and UCSB is at the top of theirs. This will be a good gauge for the top teams in the WCLL and SELC. I'm picking UCSB 9-7.

Santa Clara vs Florida at Florida 7:50pm: This will again be another good gauge for mid level teams in the WCLL and SELC. I expect this game to be pretty close. Maybe 1 or 2 goals.

California vs Central Florida at Central Florida 7:00pm: Same as above. Good gauge for the leagues. Central Florida is overrated.

Cal Poly vs Colorado at Colorado 7:00pm: Cal Poly has been all over the map this season. If this game was in SLO, I would pick Cal Poly to win. I think teh altitude and the fact that it is a night game might be too much for Poly. they better hope for a heat wave.

Santa Clara vs Florida State at Florida St 6:00pm: Another good game to gauge the two leagues.

UCSB vs Florida at Florida 8:00pm: UCSB +5...at least. I've been looking forward to this game all season. Maybe because of a late hit 5 years ago that kind of screwed UCSB for the national championship game. And bragging rights against Danny.

Cal Poly vs CSU at Ft. Collins 4:00pm: I'm going to say CSU here just because of their reputation, but Cal Poly could put together a very good game. CSU has to stop Kweller. It depends on how they do against CU.

UCSD vs Arizona at Ariz 1:00pm: If my calculations are right, a win here by Arizona gives them a playoff spot. If they lose, they would have to beat ASU to make playoffs. If UCSD wins, it creates a huge mess for the WCLL South. I'm picking UCSD by a goal.

Claremont vs Chapman at Chap 1:00pm: Last chance for Claremont. This game could also give them some much needed national attention. I still think the only way to beat Chapman is with a good defense. If it comes to a shootout, Champan will win that game. Claremont's defense is not good enough though.

Sonoma vs Chico State at Chico 2:00pm: Chico is probably hoping to catch SSU sleeping. This game decides who will be traveling during the WCLL quarter finals.

Hope that isn't the first thing you think of when you think of the orange and blue lacrosse team....if so just know that the academic requirements have risen as such that the barbarians that used to play lax there are no longer admitted.

just wanted to shout out a quick thanks to USC for hosting us on Monday night. You guys have an incredible campus and we really enjoyed getting to spend some time in a real city  . We've been enjoying our vacation a lot so far (current snowing in Missoula may be a factor...) but I hope we can make a tradition out of this game. Thanks again for the hospitality.
