Oakland at Michigan is at 8pm tonight, not 7

The snowstorm that is supposed to hit today could effect Saturday games.

I assume the officials assignor has been informed and approved this modification.

I just moved the NMU @ SVSU game on www.mcla.us.

I spoke to their coach the other day and he said he contacted Clark. I was trying to get in touch with him again but I cannot find his contact info anywhere. I also heard they have a new team president and I don't have that contact information either. Anybody have any updated contact info? Thanks,

Michigan 28, Oakland 0. Western Michigan game, scheduled for Saturday, postponed to April 16th due to heavy snow.

MSU @ CMU

MSU 13
CMU 10

MSU went up six goals in 1st quarter. CMU did great job fighting back taking lead in the third. MSU finished in the fourth. CMU coaches Elzinga and Madigan look like they have put the past behind this team. CMU Senior Burr (OLSM) and Junior Kerr (Notre Dame Prep) had outstanding games. MSU Juniors Kegley, Schimpke, Stephanoff lead the other side.

Wow. Oakland was bidding for elite-team status just a few seasons ago, I gather they have fallen way off since then...

Oakland

Unfortunately, there's no question that Oakland has fallen off. Granted that Michigan is quite capable of frustrating any team at this point, Oakland was reduced numerous times last night to long passes, deep into the attack zone that had little chance of being completed. Most of their midfield passes on the clear were intercepted cleanly by Michigan's longstick defenders.

Four years ago, when Oakland defeated Michigan in the CCLA semi-finals the offensive pair of Joe Opron and Billy Binge was particularly potent. After Binge graduated in 2005 and Opron in 2006, the power of the team markedly dropped.

Saginaw Games

NMU 12
UMD 7

SVSU 18 OT
NMU 17

Saginaw was above the snowline (about Flint.) Bright sunshine all day here, about 38 F degrees. Field was very sloppy, a thawed tundra. Game play was similar to the field. It seemed like NMU had it wrapped up with five minutes to go up by four, but I am sure after playing one game and then running in what must have felt like sand, Saginaw came back with a run to tie it up. NMU had a chance off of the faceoff in OT, but the ball went back the other way.
