The Huskies would like to invite all PNCLLers to come out for the games we are hosting this weekend. The Saturday contest between #9 Sonoma and #11 Simon Fraser should be a terrific game. We'll be trying our best to compete with these great ranked teams on Friday and Sunday also, hopefully we can give the fans a good show too.

Dempsey Indoor Center is a great place to spectate, for those of you who haven't seen it. Warm and dry regardless of the weather outside!

Hope to see alot of you folks in Seattle this weekend...

Boise State plays St. Mary's and Montana plays USD on 3/26.

We also play Chico on 3/27, but I guess that is technically Week #9 (3/27-4/?).

All three of those games will appear on next week's thread and schedule, Nate. Our "weeks" run Wednesdays through Tuesday here...

I'm very interested to see if the Huskies can give Sonoma a game after a day off and a day to scout...I hope so. Show them what you've got U-Dub.
Oregon has their toughest games to date and will show if they can play at the elite level after losing many key contributors to graduation.
WOU will sweep their OOC games in Cali again.
I hope for the best for all of the PNCLL teams playing OOC games over the Spring Break.

It looks like Irvine has decided not to play us on Sunday. As of now it looks like we will either be playing UCLA or Claremont in the week.

Then I'll alter my post about WOU sweeping their Cali trip... but it will only serve you guys for the future.
A lesson for all: UC-Irvine- went to Nationals last year, what is happening w/ them this year ?

UC-I left Nationals last year before the tournament was complete. We all know that comes with ramifications. Also a look at their roster, on the wcll website, shows no seniors. 2008 might be a rebuilding/retooling year for them.

Yeah, UC Irvine is a cautionary tale. I am right with them in understanding that going to nationals and getting beat down could not have been fun, but leaving early has just started a cascade of bad karma for them.

This forfeit probably reflects the lack of involvement in the program due to their post-season ban. If they want to have a team next season someone needs to take charge and turn the wheel away from disaster. I feel bad for them, they made a choice that a lot of teams might have made in that situation, but the road they are on now is not a good one for long term success.

But best of luck to WOU!!! Rep the PNCLL well!!

And good luck to ALL of the PNCLL in the HUGE OOC weekend!!

From my understanding alot of the guys from last year's Irvine team left and transferred after the ramifications were passed down from the league. They were left trying to field a team with only a couple guys returning from the year before and with many new players. It is a tough year for them. I guess we just have to all realize there are big consequences for our teams when we break the rules. Should be interesting and fun to play a UCLA or Claremont, just hope the requirement for At-large is only two OOC's....Good luck to all the PNCLL this week!

As I understand it, Fullerton and Pepperdine should fulfill your OOC requirement. And UCLA or Claremont will just make you that much more experienced!! Good luck on the games and the at-large! Two teams for our D2 in the playoffs would be amazing!!

Two huge games on Saturday, when SFU takes on Noma and Oregon takes on Colorado. Noma just beat CSU, who has a number 2 ranking, so a win for the Clansmen would really help. Colorado handed Oregon one of its two regular season loses last season down in Arizona by one goal. I really hope Oregon puts it to these guys. Oregon also has CSU, Noma, SFU, and BYU still on the schedule...!!

Great preview article, only thing that I would note differently is that I think CSU is probably a little more bitter about the overtime loss to go to the championship rather than the 19-6 loss earlier in the season, at least I would be.
