40 Thieves play San Diego LC on Sunday after the Chanpionship game at the same venue.

40 Thieves is majority former WCLL All Stars, and I believe SD has a lot of WCLL players as well.

Chapman 12 Sonoma 10

Chapman came out and scored early and looked like they were going to run all over Sonoma ( which from my observation of them this year they should have) pushing it to a 5-1 lead early in the second. The first half was at times rather sloppy for both teams. Seemed like they were having problems with slipping on the turf. Then, it was like someone turned off the faucet on Chapman, and Noma sparked by some acrobatic goals by their little big man Cito Williams tied it before half at 5.

The second half was a see saw battle with some circus saves by Chapman's second half goalie Jason Ko,who I would give the game MVP
nod to.For Sonoma, Cito was the show today. Sonoma's defense played very well, keeping Chapman's Marcus Wooden ineffective most of the day. Noma goalie Warren Pringle also had some BIG saves to keep Noma in it when it looked like Champman was going to go on a run with about 8 minutes left in the game to put it away. Wooden had a big goal in the second half to seeming spark Chapman, but it was Chapman's face off man Chris Smalls that made the difference in the fourth quarter and who buried two big shots today when Chapman needed it. My over all assessment was that Chapman seems to lack energy after quick starts, and is going to have to learn how to develop some stamina if they want to do some damage in Dallas and beat ASU tomorrow.

ASU 11 Chico St. 8

It was ASU out scoring Chico two for one most of the game until late in the fourth with ASU up 11-5, Chico scored 3 on some freaky unsettled situations, that frankly I am still not sure what happened. Chico's goalie Austin Rabb kept them from being blown out and sparked the fourth quarter come back. The bad news for ASU is that they may have lost their stud attackman, Tyler Westphal, who was helped off in obvious pain, later to return to the bench with his leg wrapped in ice. It did not look good. ASU defense played well, causing many turnovers. Chico was not able to hang with the skill ASU displays.

Tomorrow should be VERY INTERESTING.
