New GRLC Website!

The Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference has a new website. Please change all links in your individual team websites to http://www.grlc.us. The new site is not 100% functional as of yet but is very close.

Some of you out there need to understand that web design is a very slow and difficult progress. With all of us as unpaid volunteers sometimes things take a while, but we intend to deliver a quality presentation. Even the new web designer has volunteered half of his time (read: taken half the pay he could have) in order to help us, as a conference, out.

Please take some time to visit www.grlc.us. If you find any bugs, or incorrect information, please feel free to email me at cjwilhelmi@yahoo.com.

Further information will be distributed to member teams by email.

FYI, I will not be checking this thread and will be going back to Imagination Land.

Link is: http://www.grlc.us

The autolink above doesn't work because it tacks the period onto the end. New site looks good!

as far as the new website and the old website go, do we need to continue putting stats into the old website or transition into using the new one? also will our usernames and passwords carry over to the new website? I was also curious about who we contact when there is an error while we are trying to input stats. I am having a problem with a game in particular that does not have an opponent listed and so i cannot input our stats.

Stats Input

TO ALL:

Just so we are all clear: for the last two years, we haven't been inputting into the GRLC website. The master MCLA website (MCLA.US/ADMIN) is the one that you should be using. The master site automatically dumps information to both the old and new site. This site is the one that the national BOD monitors for compliance.

Those of you who are not using the MCLA website for stat input may be accruing fines to both the conference and yourselves. Contact a member of the GRLC BOD if you have questions.

the admin link on the grlc website takes you directly to the mcla website to enter stats. sorry if i was not clear with that. now that we have that settled we are still having problems entering stats into the mcla website and were wondering who we should contact and if it is the grlc board, who specifically?

One more thing I've noticed: The site only comes up when you use IE. It fails to load while using Firefox....

Looks good on Firefox here as well. I'm on a Mac, not sure if it's a PC thing.

The following letter was sent out to the GRLC Membership. If you did not get it please send me an email at cjwilhelmi@yahoo.com.

GRLC Members,

As some of you know, the new GRLC website is up at www.grlc. There are a few bugs to still work out and we're going to get that taken care of. Please be patient as we get the website working properly.

I do need to get some information from each of you. Attached you will find an outline of how to do a team history and directions to your field. Please follow the outline so that the conference looks uniform. I have included Lindenwood's to use as an example if you have any doubt.

Please take time to do it correctly. Any spelling or grammer mistakes found and the form will be sent back to you. I am not your mother or your English Professor and as such will not edit it for you.

To answer some questions out right:

1) The only individual awards that we are interested in are your All America members.
2) After your overall record please put your conference record (excluding playoffs) and the farthest you have reached at the national tournament.
3) The ref's will be able to use the site to find directions to your field. Please make them as detailed as possible.

You will have until next wednesday at noon to get the information to me. Once I get it and review it, I will put it on the website.

When you visit the website you will find a spot for you to sign up for access to it. For the time being anyone who signs up will be rejected as there really is no reason for you to sign up as there is nothing you can do. If and when there is a reason for you to sign up I will let you know.

Oh and on another and completely different note - Lindenwood plays BYU this Friday night on BYU TV. The game is at 7 Mountain time. You can find BYU TV the following ways: http://www.byulacrosse.com/ and click on BYU TV

If you are needing a website for your team please look at www.ialax.com and www.freeteams.net. The owner of both sites is a MCLA Alumni. Please switch your team sites over to those two sites if you do not have one that is operated by your school.

Support the GRLC - get your website stuff to me in seven days and watch LU take on BYU.

See you guys at the conference tournament.
