Liberty University Lacrosse to continue

Liberty University Lacrosse to continue

Postby John Westfall on Tue Mar 22, 2005 12:50 pm

First I just want to thank everyone from the league and the SELC for their messages of hope and encouragement. We owe you a great deal of thanks.

Second: I'm thankful the fact that our Team has pulled through this terrible disaster and our future is still as bright as it was before the accident. I'm thankful that God watched over us and took care of us through our time of need.

LU Lacrosse will compete with it's regular schedule the end of March starting with it's contest against Soutrhern Virginia. We will have almost our whole Team in uniform to play in that game and we will take our season one step at a time till the end.

Thanks to the SELC and the USL MDIA for all your help and your kind words.

God Bless,

John Westfall

Glad to hear everyone is doing better and able to continue on. We look forward to coming up there for the game on April 1st. It was good to see everyone come together as well. Before our Davidson game, the Davidson coach had a moment of silence for all you guys, which I thought was very classy. Good luck against Southern Va.

Dave:

We have been friends for a long time. But do you really think anything would keep me from one of those wild Liberty vs SVU games? It will be good time for both Teams and a lot of fun.

All the best,

John

I know you would make the game even with an I.V. tube in you. It will be a great game. We have a lot of respect for your team and all they have gone through.

I think we all needed to hear some good news like that. Good Luck to Liberty in their quests on and off the fields- here's to the end of a full speedy recovery.

Great to hear the team is recovering!

John,

Great to hear you are Ok. I hope the twin are doing well. Maybe we'll even see them again out at the camp this year? I don’t know if Jason was able to get a hold of you but you were certainly on his mind and in his prayers. They also made a nice comment about the LU situation on one of the BYUTv broadcasts. Your teams courage and commitment are very inspiring!

We have been friends for a long time. But do you really think anything would keep me from one of those wild Liberty vs SVU games? It will be good time for both Teams and a lot of fun.

Oh yes, the ol' baptist/mormon hell raising slug fest. If I've seen it once I've seen it a million times. :) Not to mention the wild party that inevitably ensues after the game.

I'm glad that you are well and I pray for your sons everyday. I'm glad that your boys are up to finishing the season! It will give us all a lift after your unfortunate accident.

Godspeed to all at LU!
