How much do these domes charge per hour? $200? Just a guess.

The metrodome charges $400 per hour. Personally I would be willing to pay an extra $10-20 per guy on the to get a chance to play in the Metrodome especially if the only option was playing at 4 AM.

Obviously you couldn't do this for every game but as a one time alternative it might be a solution.

I think I may have another one for the list of indoor fields: I heard Rochester is building one.

It was over $200 even back when you played.

Most of the facilites we work with charge $285-$400 per hour depending on the time of day rented. Add in official's costs and the specialized marking tapes some facilities require and you're easily over $1000 to play one game - YIKES! Do that 3 times -TRIPLE YIKES!

Gentlemen, how can you reference the UMLL as Bush league!! I think you are being to critical on teams and a league that supports these tams that are going out and making things happen. Are the times great no. Why are we not looking at the schedule and saying wow look how much our league has grown that teams like Michigan, Boston College, Colorado State, Northern Colorado, Dayton, Kansas, and Western Mich have found that competition is good enough in the UMLL to dedicate resources to make the trip here! We in our history have never had this many teams come to visit our state (other than nationals). What I see is not Bush league, but proof of a very legit league that other conferences see value in. We as a league should be proud of where we are at as a group. Too much time and effort is being spent discussing times and not this fact. We should be excited and come out to support our UMLL teams in what look to be some great lacrosse being played here in the upcoming months. This is progress gentlemen, and thanks to those who have worked so hard in the past and present to get us here. Now lets work on a Starbucks sponsorship!! Sorry to get on a soap box, but I see this issue in a very different light. Thanks for listening.

In my dreams!!!! McCook (in Chicago) is $525/hr. For a game that is approximately $1575 just to have a normal game with an hour for warm ups. After hearing that amount I asked our team president if we were able to print money in order to use that facility.

I wasn't referring to the league as a whole as "bush league", just that having games at 3am did not make our league look very good (imagine if your son came home and had a 3:45am game on his schedule) -it was one small negative in hundreds of positive things that make our league very successful and not "bush league". I dont think i would of been a part of a executive board for 3+ years for something that I thought of as "bush league".

It is indeed $400.00 an hour for amateur sports.

If these domes (Plymouth and Holy Angels...)are $400 per hour or more then why is the Metrodome out of reach at $400-$500 per hour?

Our baseball team traveled to the dome to play a game last year. It would be worth contacting the person in charge to see if they would be willing to accomodate lacrosse? If interested in the contact info, let me know and I will dig it up.

Plus you can pay an extra $50 and use the Vikings locker room. (which is very unimpressive by the way).

I remember a few years back trying to get time in the Fargodome at NDSU. I think it was about $400/hour. The flipside was that we also had to pay for event staff the entire time we were there. Three people minimum. When helping organize NDSU lacrosse I thought it would be a great asset to have that dome on our campus. Little did I know it would have exploded our budget if we used it.

Lucky for us the astroturf field was available for use. Good times.

The silver lining is that late games lend themselves well to a boisterous crowd that might not necessarily be sober. 3am leaves just enough time for taco bell beforehand.

Good luck to everyone this season, and thanks to those who made sure there is a place to play.

I know three years ago we played two games ISU outdoors in February. Given Kansas and K-Sate they thought they were playing indoors at ISU that weekend. It turned out to not be that... weather wise there was little snow on the ground so we played the games outside. Lax in February can be done!!!!!

Baseball is the answer. Trying to find time at the dome anytime Feb - June is impossible due to baseball having it locked up. I even think there was baseball games at the metrodome last year at 3:00 in the morning.

High school baseball can not start practice until mid-March and has to wait a couple of weeks after that until they can play any games. Therefore, in February and most of March, baseball would not be a conflict.
