1. KEEP IT CIVIL; DO NOT "FLAME"; ATTACKS ON MDIA TEAMS/CONFERENCES/PLAYERS NOT ALLOWED; NO CURSE WORDS ALLOWED
Do not personalize any post. Debate vs. flaming: This is a friendly place. Debate is encouraged, but flaming is not allowed. Flaming is personally attacking someone. For example, saying "Any idiot knows that isn't true" is flaming because the person was just called an idiot, while "I passionately disagree" is not flaming even though it's rather emotionally charged. Finally, “attacks” on USL MDIA players, coaches, teams, conferences, referees, and/or administrators are not allowed under any circumstances. Finally no curse words are allowed on the message forums. Inserting characters for curse words is not an acceptable substitute.

Bottom line -- If you can’t make your point with out disparaging another member of the MDIA community, then do not make it on USLIA.com. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood, but we've done a good job keeping the forum civil, and I'm sure most of us would like to keep it that way, even if we do get carried away once in a while. Lets lay off the cheap shots a bit guys. Make fun of your teammates, not your opponents....

There might be a reason the Whitman scores haven't been posted yet. Whitman came to town with some lacrosse groupies that came and seized hold of our scoring area, without asking permission which was kind of odd. They had girls that kept the books despite us having people who had planned on keeping score and time. This definitely kept us from reporting accurate stats to PNCLL, I was wondering if this is what they do at all people's games? They definitely weren't the nicest groupies either. But hey, we did lose by 16, so I guess I have a biased opinion.

First of all, if it's anyone's fault, it's your coaches' and/or the refs for allowing the Whitman "groupies" to keep score in the first place. Secondly, what's to say the stats weren't accurate? I mean, seriously, how hard can it be to keep track of a handful of goals (at most) for the opposing team? Using this as an argument for not submitting stats is crap, and you know it.

The Whitman women have always done a good job in games I've played against them in the past.... People simply need to get to the sites, and enter the stats.. Anything could prevent that, I miss placed a score sheet last week. It's not about blaming anyone, it just needs to get done.

Well a handful of goals quickly became 18 or 19, we're really not sure. And we definitely didn't have the refs telling US who had assisted and scored. So that's how we don't have accurate stats. Guess we gotta win some games to get an ounce of respect in this league, even on our own field we seem to be the road team. Clearly even posters on this board don't take what I say seriously, or assume I am just trashing some other team simply because I am associated with Willamette and we lose.

I miss the lacrosse groupies, Emil. Don't you? Not only were they good at doctoring the scoreboard (and inflating our stats), but they were fun companions in the vans as well.

But being the politically correct institution that Whitman is we weren't allowed to call them "groupies" (despite their tendencies)...but rather they were refered to as "scorekeepers" or "staticians." Nonetheless, they are pretty aggressive creatures, and will bite your arm off if you try to separate them from their scorebook. Bearcatlax, I would hate to see you (or your "groupies") suffer such a peril.

Home team should enter the stats...for the simple reason that the visiting team has to travel home...then the visiting team does it's report when they return home.

It's not about which team you play for Bearcat, but you are correct, you should have kept the book, enless you invited them to help out. I am unaware of a rule that says they get to help out, but most of the time, the extra bodies are nice. Referees have a hard time catching the assist, usually your bench should tell them when to record it, or atleast that's the way it has worked for me. If it's your home game, you can control what happens at it, and next time you'll speak up. We all learn our lessons that way, not to say your's isn't a tough one. I didn't speak up pre-game recently, and I believe it dramatically effected the outcome of the game. Overall, its the past now, and you can't change it. Good luck in the rest of the season.
