PCLL 2008 Championships - predict, report, discuss

I agree with Tim. The winner of tomorrow's game will be the only PCLL (1) team in Dallas. Good luck to both teams.

Definitely surprised at the lop sided score.

Tim, the BU-UNH game was closer then the final score implied. It was 8-3 BU going into the fourth quarter and UNH scored the next two goals to make it 8-5. It appeared UNH had cut the lead to two, but the refs waved off the goal after they ruled UNH had stepped in the crease. After that, BU scored a quick two goals to make the score 10-5 and then added three more goals after UNH started to double the ball.

UNH played a better game than the final score shows, they just seemed to run out of gas down the stretch.

Sounds similar to our game. We fell behind quick and big (7-1 I think), made a run back into it, down by 2 (7-5) at one point, but then BC seemed capable of scoring 2 goals for every one of ours.

in response to a previous post, the BU UNH game was much closer than the final score showed... However, the goal that was disallowed came in the second quarter and not in the fourth ....the score never got closer than 8-5 at the end

I'm pretty sure it was in the 4th, but maybe I was just to drunk and busy yelling at UNH parents to remember...

BC over BU, 12-4.

CCSU was up 1-0 over Coast Guard at the end of the 1st.

Since no Div B results were posted, CCSU had beaten New Haven and Coast Guard had beaten Framingham.

Good luck to BC and Framingham in TX.

Sophomore midfielder Tom Luckey of BC takes home Tournament MVP honors with 7 goals over the 2 games. He scored 4 in the championship game, won nearly all of his face-offs, and had 8 GBs. Great job by Tom.

No. A BC parent arranged for the game to be filmed and DVDs to be made.

I guess the game earlier this season was no indication of the championship. BC lead for pretty much the whole game, and there was no doubt at the end that they were the better team.

Good luck to BC at nationals, hope they represent the PCLL well. If they play like they did today they can play with anyone in the nation.
