What are you talking about 3 and 4 seeds dont matter?
div 1aa brings in seed 5 and 6
And if you think that Ole Miss is a walk in the park your wrong... We are a different team from the begining of the year
We had the same talent then, but didnt know how to utilize it
And now I believe we are ready to compete

Oh ive got a quote from an ex head coach from the conference who felt is necessary to explain to me that there is a big gap between the top 2 teams in the GRLC and the rest. And that it wouldnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that no other team will make it to the championship game. Ill show it to you if you'd like to see it

You gave me a negative reputation point along with the following quote
"I can't see the reasoning behind saying, 'There is no difference between a 3 or a 4 seed.' especially from someone with so much experience in the game, how can you realistically tell someone that AJ"
I returned the favor along with the following answer to your question
"There is a big talent gap between LU/Illinois and the other teams in the GRLC. It does not take a rocket scientist to tell that both the 3 and 4 seeds will not make it to the championship game. Disa"
Your point? Most everyone is sick of the whining about how the GRLC Exec. Board cheated MSU last season. In my opinion Illinois would have been no better a draw for MSU. Let it go. The exec board made the only ruling allowed in this situation. No contest. The Iowa situation was different. They refused to make the trip. Missouri was guilty of not having a backup field. Missouri was put on administrative probation for the situation but we could not declare the game a forfeit per the NCAA rulebook. Again what is your point with all of this?

Regardless of what you may personally think, or even your frustration with DRich, openly saying that there is a talent gap between the top 2 and the rest does have an air of arrogance. If that's the case then the rest of the teams in A should pack up your bags now. You did ok this season but it just means nothing. Don't come to playoffs. We'll just put Lindenwood and Illinois against each other and let them play one game for the championship. No underdog has ever pulled off an upset and seeing how the gap is SO HUGE it's pointless to keep playing this season!
Yes, comments about the MSU situation are now like beating a dead horse... however I'd take those comments anyday over a coach showing arrogance and disrespecting all other teams (hopefully unintentionally)!

Okay.....
A coach can say whatever he wants to boast his own team....doesnt bother me
Now back to the div1AA playoffs....who will be the 3rd and 4th seed?
Any predictions?
Seed 5 v 4
Seed 6 v 3

It looks to me like the 3 and 4 seeds will be determined, as in set in stone this upcoming weekend. Mo state plays ISU...and if ISU wins, there will be 3 teams tied 2-3 for third, which i belive is decided by the goal differential. If Mo Sate wins, then i believe it is:
1)Illinois
2)Lindenwood
3)Mo State
4)Mizzou
please correct me if i am wrong.
and which is 5 & 6? I know it's Ole Miss and Kansas, but who falls where, is Kansas 5 because of the Ole Miss no contest win?

i believe that Ole Miss would be 5 and K-State 6 because Ole Miss beat Kansas State in head to head competition. I don't think they should be punished because Arkansas did play them.... and here comes the Missouri/Missouri state comment....

congratulations to both Kstate and Ole Miss. good luck in the playoffs.....
As far as next year goes I think we have work to do, personally i dont believe that any team should ever be inelgible for playoffs because it negates the idea of a season.
So we will have much to talk about at the fall meeting, good luck to all teams in the playoffs and with remaining schedules. Iowa looks forward to seeing you all again next year.

does this count as beating a dead horse? cause if it does i might have just beat it! i do agree though, the horse has been beaten to death now that the playoff spots for I-AA are determined.

I am not sure I agree with the previous analysis of determining the seeds from IAA. Iowa may not be eligible for the playoffs, but their games do count in determining the IAA standings. One could say there is a 3-way tie for first with all 3 teams being 1-1 against each other. The next tie breaker for the 3 teams would be goal differential to determine the order of the 3 teams.
