I was there - the game was actually much closer than the score indicates... Claremont outshot Whittier in the first quarter, which ended 1-0 Whittier, but then seemed to lose steam as the game went on. Goaltending played an important role for both teams. Claremont had tons of opportunities but couldn't finish.
